For Mount and Blade: Warband 1.143, 1.153 and 1.154. Based on "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R. R. Martin.
Read this for a fix to the most common questions/problems:
Problem: Something is wrong/bugged!
Solution: That's because A Clash of Kings is currently in beta stage. Expect bugs.
Problem: The game crashes when loading.
Solution: Your PC is not powerful enough, nothing I can do about it.
A Clash of Kings is a modification, set in the fictional "A Song of Ice and Fire" universe, for the popular Taleworlds game "Mount and Blade: Warband" version 1.154.

To install the mod, simply unpack the downloadable file, using a program such as Winrar, and extract it to the Mount&Blade Warband\Modules folder.
You need a very powerful PC to properly play A Clash of Kings.
This modification uses the Floris mod as a base: Forums.taleworlds.com
A Clash of Kings is based on the series of books by author George R. R Martin, "A Song of Ice and Fire" and the modification is named after the second book in the series, during which time the modification takes place. For those interested in learning more about the rich world that Martin has created, please visit one of the following websites:
And obviously, read the books.
A Song of Ice and Fire has recently been adapted into a TV-series by HBO, called Game of Thrones, with the third season airing in march 2013. For more information on the TV-series, follow this link:

The story behind the universe, that this modification is set in, is simply too rich and detailed for me to give even a brief overview here, but I can only recommend diving into it. If you want to know more, take a look at this:
"A Clash of Kings" features eighteen unique factions, each with their own troops, distinct cultures and custom settlements, as well as a "secret" emerging faction.
For more information, follow this link:
Encompassing all of Westeros and the western part of Essos, the map for "A Clash of Kings" might well be the most detailed map ever made for a Mount and Blade: Warband modification. In future versions, the map will be replaced with an even better one, currently a work in progress. This will not happen for quite some time though.
"A Clash of Kings contains more than 1600 new items, all of them high quality. For pictures of a small selection of these, visit the "image" section.
The implementation of the items is a work in progress, given that ACOK is still in the beta stage. They are subject to change, but the core itemization has been implented as of 0.9, and will only be tweaked in the future.
While keeping the core Mount and Blade gameplay, "A Clash of Kings" adds many new exciting features, such as:
Custom settlements for many iconic locations, such as King's Landing, Winterfell, Moat Cailin, Storm's End and Highgarden
A new skill, foraging.
New companions, all with their own unique backstory.
New terrain textures.
New scene props.
New building textures.
New user interface.
Many new scripts.
An invading faction.
Many custom units.
A new way of recruitment.
New heraldic items.
And much more.

Uploading A Clash of Kings 0.92 now, should be ready for download in a couple of hours.

Managed to reduce world map lag, a lot. Not eliminated, but better. Will work on making it miniscule in 0.93, but 0.92 is a big improvement.

@pzmyers Move to Denmark and I'll let you crash on the couch.

@bobbyg27 Probably wiser to fix the world map lag, rather than having to release 0.93 like two days after 0.92.

Figured out how to fix the world map lag, but as a result, 0.92 has been postponed.

@Jabdimelborn Pretty much the only issue remaining, everything else has been fixed with 0.92

Working on the lag on the world map, when fast-forwarding, but don't expect a fix soon. Very confusing, cannot figure it out.

@pzmyers But surely you don't believe vigilantism should be overlooked, even though the time seems heavy compared to the crime?
