This new client will make Mental Omega work with CnCNet5 and make use of other various advantages that this client provides. If you're not familiar with DTA, you should check this video to see what it's all about. We're also testing new and old missions, skirmish for bugs and crashes and of course doing some balancing since an entirely new side is now involved.

Speaking of the 4th side, the Foehn Revolt, I've prepared this short video which reveals the recent additions to the unit roster of Mental Omega in more detail. Take a look.

As I have tweeted quite recently, we've finished creating and voicing the units for the Foehn Revolt and there will be about 50 of them in its first release. After that, if we get some good ideas for new ones we will expand their tech tree accordingly. The only thing that will not expand is the stolen tech roster once it hits 16 units. And speaking of stolen tech, we've got another two new ones.

stolentech_roster.jpg

The new stolen technology roster: 8 units to go.

For more information about all of these recent additions and a revised selection of Tech Buildings visit our modification's official website at MentalOmega.com. Subscribe to our YouTube channel to get notified about the newest Unit Showcase videos, coming soon(tm).

Stay tuned for more updates!

Just out of curiosity, what kind of soundtrack do you have planned for Foehn? Something like in the trailers? Or more electronic stuff? Synthwave? Or "dark electronic" like in TI (I don't know the gender's name)? Or something from Klepacki? Sorry for asking like this, just genuinely curious. Thanks in advance.

I don't think synthwave would fit the Foehn Revolt, they're more on the heroic kind-of-knights side which, while using futuristic weapons, the aesthetic of that doesn't quite fit the style that synthwave is often associated with. The soundtrack will be similar to the music used in the trailers and previews so far, check the catalogue by World Beyond: Youtube.com

So, epic soundtrack. Interesting. Reminds me of Mass Effect for some reason.

Also I think I didn't use the correct word when I wrote synthwave. I was thinking of Dynatron/BloodMusic's stuff when I wrote that - author labels it as "extraterrestrial retro electro(?)". Bit too slow and serious though, so you're probably right.

Synthwave, retrowave..
MegaDrive or VHS Glitch would probably make a cool RTS soundtrack.

SPEEDER! HOW COME YOU NEVER RELEASED THE 3.3 M.O VERSION TO THE PUBLIC?! CHECK THIS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkNNYAYGoRg
HE'S ALREADY PLAYING YOUR LATEST M.O. VERSION! BOTH YOUR YOUTUBE AND YOUR M.O WEBSITE DOESN'T HAVE THE LATEST M.O VERSION! AND ACCORDING TO YOUR M.O WEBSITE:
"We're testing the client created by Rampastring of the Dawn of the Tiberium Age fame who's been so kind as to help us get the next version of Mental Omega, which has now been labeled 3.3, to work with CnCNet5 and make use of other various advantages that this client provides. If you're not familiar with DTA, you should check this video to see what it's all about. We're also testing new and old missions, skirmish for bugs and crashes and of course doing some balancing since an entirely new side is now involved."

Cesare (the guy who is playing) is part of the MO team...
He released those skirmish videos a few weeks ago to show us that they are still in the testing phase of the mod.
And if you'd open your eyes you'd see that during the video the bottom left corner says "Version 3.212".
This is not the final release, man.
Sit down, F.

Then is it okay for you to stare them as they play MO 3.3. While we stuck on the old M.O 3.0 Apyr which is a 3 year old YR mod?
There are desperate users like me who wants the taste of the brand new 3.3 version! It has been almost a month. And no reports from the developer, nor the other team developers of the progress of the mod itself. As you can see in this page. The last post was August 28, 2016.

Seems you never followed mods which have one update per half a year or a whole year, like "TE" or "Perisno" etc.
No one is obliged to release everything too fast or even show updates. It is always up to developers, and if they thing smth is ready, then they show it, and if not, then no. If you truly want something, then wait patiently for it, or try to actually help the team to make the release closer.

So what?
The developers need their time to create a finished and fulfilling gaming experience. Watching them play the new stuff first is the issue with like every video game ever?
Developers first release trailers for their games (BF1,etc.) to show the gamers what to expect of the product. It's the same with MO.

Easily one of the best, most professional "YR+" mods around. MO is genuinely produced as a "YR expansion", continuing the game's theme and storyline with a whole brand new campaign for all three factions.

While bringing in a few new ideas and a lot of new units for the games houses (without being overcrowded), MO doesn't depart too much from the original games atmosphere - a great mod for anyone who wants 'a little bit more YR'.

Most 1-point reviews are baseless troll reviews. Perhaps their MCV got stolen.

So is this one.
