Furthering the Red Alert 2 legacy, Mental Omega builds on what was established by Westwood Studios and expands upon the conflict between the Allies, Soviets, and Yuri's Epsilon. Enhanced with the powerful Ares DLL, Mental Omega 3.0 strives to bring new features to Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge while maintaining a strong sense of gameplay balance. Mental Omega 3.0 continues where the first Red Alert left off and branches out into an expanded universe with brand new missions for all three factions.

Mental Omega 3.0 requires a working installation of Red Alert 2 & Yuri's Revenge to be played. All releases (original 2001 release, The First Decade, The Ultimate Collection etc.) are compatible with it.

Mental Omega APYR 3.0

The first release includes:

  • 9 new subfactions with their own unique sets of units
  • 36 new single player missions, including a campaign for Yuri
  • 18 new cooperative maps for 2 players
  • new skirmish/multiplayer maps
  • new skirmish/multiplayer game modes
  • updated visuals & audio
  • a new soundtrack (separate download)

You know what? The AI in 3.0 is much easier than it was in 2.0.

Mental AI can be defeated 1 on 1, with 10k credits at start easily.

You need to build more defenses.

i can defeat the AI in brutal in normal YR, in Mental in easy they come with tanks, soldiers, aircraft and nuclear misiles in less than 20 mins .-. .....the difficult in this version is good for me XD (i dont wanna imagine how is in Mental diffiult)

i played the mod and it was FU"'N AWESOME tanks from here tanks from their aircraft and missiles naval and virus it looked like i was in a real war but the old yuri's revenge i thought that the other side is too lazy to send a dog!!!

the first time I played MO I called ToO HARD!..but after a month its like Meh too easy!...the truth is know its hard and you gotta play I'm trying to get me dibs with 2 AIs in meteor storm x3

Yup, though I would argue that the learning curve is more frustrating in MO than Vanilla YR, to be frank. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it can be discouraging if your "practice" involves losing up to 10 times before you start feeling the average AI patterns. Just saying.

well..i learn more quickly from being attacked rather then losing...Losing is a different thing and if I notice that my base is gonna go kaput I immediately give up and start over again and try a different approach seeing every time what are the results, This will be ten times easier if Save and Load functionality would be brought back xP

Which, if I recall the comments correctly, is only absent due to problems with the Ares engine itself. Once that gets fixed, MO will have it returned, as well.

that's strange,because i have played some mod (i don't remember wchich one but most probably comp stomp in DTA multiplayer) and AI behaved smart, and was flanking and doing generally smart moves.

Украденное у китайских товарищей творение нагло выданное за собственный проект тов. sPeeder'ом не заслужило ничего кроме моего негодования и огорчения. Попытки "автора" улучшить существующий вариант привели к внедрению в готовый проект умных иванов и гениев, что намекает на не сильную развитость личного гения польского товарища. Идеи новых юнитов не носят характер новизны и не дают людям желаемого. Их смысл так и остался для меня непостижимой тайной. Сюжет представленный в моде также лишен всякого…
