I am currently Lead Developer of the slow-developing remake of System Shock 2: "Remember Citadel". Not much else other than I map and know some very light Unity and UDK. I'm also looking to hone my Source Mapping skills and am therefore looking for work. Doing my own projects doesn't give me much motivation, but having something with a deadline is like fuel to me.

If you want to completely destroy a majority of the fanbase's performance in favor of Linux users (not a whole lot, certainly not the majority) then sure.

Kind of cool how you focus on the levels and game first before textures and all that.

Plus, I have always thought Dev textures looked neat.

GZDoom and ZDoom usually auto set the controls I thought.

Space is good for action button (pressing buttons)
Shift is good for running
Q is for Kick
Mouse wheel up and down for weapon change.

Mxthe, you are one hell of a mapper.

Your work in Underhell is outstanding, not to mention your great job in Insurgency.

I agree.

You'd get so many more players if they knew this was basically a second Gloom.

Actually, I did notice flickering in the background with Dx10, but didn't notice until recently and now it bugs me.

Is there any workaround for this/ will it be fixed?

I will probably go Full DX9, but I like to utilize the best quality I can.

I'm playing with the DirectX 10 render and the game is absolutely amazing looking.
Not to mention the frame-rate increase over the last version.

By the way, did you guys change the gun mechanics at all?
It feels a bit more easier and smooth to use over other STALKER games (recoil doesn't feel gigantic).

So have all the render screen shots just been R1?

If so, that latest one looks amazing and I wont even care using Static.

I'm DLing now, looks pretty great.

I jumped the gun a bit and i'm not entirely sure if we'll be able to do this specifically because of EA and Star Insurance.

Not because it's a remake of system shock 2, but because it's similar.
I'm going to keep going along and try to make it distinctive from the original.

Hopefully that will prevent some kind of mishap.

Keep in mind this stuff is all old and i'm remaking MedSci right now.

I've went through 2 mods on my own, both flopped.

By the third my Mapping had improved greatly.
The third is asleep right now, but i've gotten even better since it fell asleep.

It's also strange they are only asking for $50,000.
While that seems like a lot, even less ambitious games have gone for about 2-4 fold over that cost estimate.

Unless of course they are planning on using X-Ray for it.

I was hoping for some kind of news.
This trailer did one better.
Good job.

The only problems I had though were:
-Food eating sounded so over exaggerated
-Those white enemies (were the white combine?) look solid white, and that's not good looking at all
-Gman's mouth didn't move at all (I assume that's why you need faceposer help)

Not as much boring as it is annoying.
It certainly has a place in my heart, but playing through it last week and beating it again, it ****** me off beyond belief how lazy it felt compared to the old ones.

I felt like the momentum really died when I was sent on the (first?) mission from Sin.

It just took SO LONG to get around the large canyon-mountain-hill-thing that I lost interest in the game somehow.

That and the helicopter always following me for some reason.

Geometry is bad in areas seen and isn't flush with other surfaces, lights are WAY too bright, and light seeping through doors (I assume you tried to make a realistic door , as they don't hit the ground, don't do that).

On top of that, I have no clue what the mod is about as it's way too... well... mysterious.
That's not a bad thing per-say, but when you have one sentence that doesn't explain anything at all, then we got a problem.
A better description would be something like "this is a cliche mystery mod where you have to find out your past, it's my first project so I am trying to learn from this".

Are you a beginner mapper?
I do see potential, but...
