I'm fairly certain the Bolt action rifle in this game IS not a Winchester Model 70. I've never seen a Winchester with that type of Bolt before. NOT a model 70. Doesn't much matter though because most won't know the difference.

It's probably some really old model that was popular for a time but made by some rifle manufacturer that no longer has a popular name due to a lack of publicity over a long period of time.

I think the fiction of fallout fits fallout. Class of weapon and type of ammunition is good enough. What Next? Gordon Freeman's prybar is gonna gonna be labeled (insert brand) crowbar?

They have done some really nice modeling, so it would be a shame to scrap it. Deus Ex is a great game, but due to dated technology it looks like ***.

Of course I don't play it anymore because I played it one time too many over the years.

If there was anything about DOOM III that stuck out and me laugh my *** off it was the information sign on the first Kiosk. It's so low resolution it looks likes some horribly done texture imported from a late 1990's game. Like Half-Life or NOLF. How did they overlook that AND never bother updating it?

Scenes don't work but I don't really care about that. My problem is the audio doesn't work. Speaker Test doesn't work and the voice as well as audio dialog seems to be missing. Other audio is present. Music and some sound effects.

It's a shame, I want to play this game and enjoy it but it's so problematic I can't.

This game is alright, not the worst I've played. It has an adventure element to it which is what makes games fun. The re-spawning zombies can kill the fun since NOT everyone wants to beat zombies to death with a lead pipe one after another the entire game. Too much battle, too repetitive.

Mapping is creative.

This game is JUST bad. But maybe that's because it came out roughly four years ago and I just played it yesterday. It didn't look good when it was released so that's why I ignored it at the time. Didn't seem worth money nor time. Recently I thought.. "Maybe it's not as bad as the cover art, commercials and youtube made it look." BUT no, my first impressions never stear me wrong.

THIS was Developed by Valve? It looks and plays like a mediocre mod made by ametures.

Funny how people argue what a zombie is and what a zombie isn't. Take a look at the word zombie, definition and etymology.

Anyway... this game is a dissapointment. More so than Resident Evil 4. This is why I put it off for so long. No hurry to play it. I had Resident Evil 4 pre-ordered way back when but after that ambush I wasn't in a hurry to play any following Resident Evil.

It's not bad, but plays like an arcade game. You just keep going in the only direction the game will allow you to go. Like time crisis or a side scroller. Yeah it's 3D, but it's a one way maze. Sure every now and agian there's an area that allows free movement but that's not often.

The quality of the title lettering makes it look rushed. It looks Half photoshopped.

All of the lame and kid oriented humor & gameplay is ********. What happened to the adult dialogue and dark survival horror theme? What happened to "They've all turned into monsters" Dead EDF troopers and civilians with alien creatures using their bodies. I guess the designers figured they had to change their idea once RE4 took the same direction. Which was a mistake.

Bought it when it was released. It hasn't been installed for seven years. I remember it being great, no complaints but I just can't find a reason to play it. Just browsing for mods for games I have.

The good mods usually die because they're too good to be true. I'd like to see this released because Half-Life is one of my FAVORITE games, a rare example of action ADVENTURE. The adventure and the ambiance are everything. Whoring firearms is not a satifactory substitution.

I'd like to see success but I have my doubts. There's always room for improvement regarding graphics but compared to the graphics we once had... graphics are not an issue.

PopcornCoolie - - 57 comments @ Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Human Revolution is a good game even though it disappoints. Sure Deus Ex had many small maps and reused some of them BUT not as much as this game seems to. All of the maps are real small. Everything is scrunched together into mazes to make it seem more than it is. You can jump a wall or find a hidden path and be right back where you started.

Overall very few characters to interact with and it seems to be the shortest Deus Ex games. None of the choices made change the coarse of the game nor the attitudes of factions. It's linear to the end and you literally choose the ending at the end of the game. It's a crock.

Overall a fun game but a Deus Ex Disgrace. Shame on Square Enix. They seemed to be better when they were squaresoft, but that was a time when standards were much lower.

It works as another game, but not a Deus Game. Much Like RE4&5. Would be alright as other games but aren't Resident Evil.

Sooo... a prostitute wonders into a town in search of new cliental only to find it abandoned? I assume she's prostitute since she's dressed like one. I also assume she has a firearm and flashlight because those two items are so rare and diccicult to find.

It's carpet. I remember there were parts in the PC version in which the carpet had a large triangular Insignia that was red or gray or tan or whatever. Why carpet is randomly placed in empty sectoions of an industrial complex doesn't make much sense but whatever.

It's more like Police & private security forces versus terrorists. All of those weapons are still in Use. Just because the military doesn't use the G11 outside of special operations doesn't mean a private contractor can't get them.

The FAL and AK47 are weapons that appeal terrorists because of their unregulated surplus and low cost. Those weapons are meant for the bandits but available to all players.

As for the 870 and Super 90. The M1, M2 and M4 are pretty much the same. And the Super 90 in the game is the short entry version. The M1 & M2 are better than the M4 anyway. The collapsing stock is a useless gimmickmmik while a magazine extension is more useful than that stupid compensator. Once the collapsing stock is replaced with a fixed stock and the compensatorator is replaced with a magazine extension it defeats the purpose of replacing the M1/M2 with an M4. Clearly benelli wants to phase out the M2 with updated options but the M2 is gonna be in use and cirulation for decades.

The P14 is the best pistol in the game, 45 ACP with 14 round magazine. Then you have the Glock 18, Desert Eagle and the Colt Anaconda. None of those are battle practical. The SigPro is a budget gun that costs more that every other handgun below it. In reality the Sig Pro is the cheapest. On top of that the .357 Sig cartridge is one of the least popular. So again it would be a choice of security forces or other private contractors.

The 9mm MP5 doesn't auto-lock. The A1, A2 and A3 don't. The bolt does not twist into that nook by itself. You must manually pull the bolt back and push it into that nook. Why? To speed up the reloading process. you'll have to check the chamber anyway. To make sure the magazine is empty, a cartridge didn't misfire, fail to eject causing a double feed, fail to feed, misfeed or jam in some other way. The bolt could jam or fail to fully rebound.

If the gun actually featured an auto-lock the second animation would be pointless. If the gun featured the auto-lock function seen in the first animation the second animation would suggest the magazine is empty and the cartridge in the chamber misfired or jammed in some way while being ejected. Which would require you to retract the bolt manually. So the second animation would only occurs during malfunction. IF the bolt were to auto-lock.

Been a long time, but the first MP5 to feature an auto-lock was the MP510 or 40. The UMP and MP7 also sport this feature.

They may have at some point upgraded the MP5 so it does suppurt an auto lock either way one of those animations doesn't belong. Not unless the gun actually misfires in the game.

Can Snake gain energy or something by huffing guard farts? You know... they think no one is around so they rip one but snake happens to be crouched down right up behind. Maybe he could get Super Mario style invincibility. Dun dun dun dun dun dun not not not not not not nuh nah. Maybe a small jar could be a new item and Snake could use that jar to save the energy giving vapors instead of huffing them immediately.

Why would there be an animation for extending and retracting the stock? Why would the character do that? The stock telescopes so the shooter can adapt the rifle to their stature for optimum handling.

It's not missing a heat shield. It's missing the handguard. The heat shield seems to have been replaced with a weaver. But the weaver is usually mounted on the handguard.

I don't know if this was ever part of any Deus Ex Mod since I've never used any yet but what about making the Armors, suits goggles and breathers rechargable? I mean rather than a one time use then dispose deal what if they could be reacharged with the BioCell? It would certainly make the cells more useful.

Kind of a bizarre design. I've seen em before but not a model with the barrels positioned like that. I've seen two side by sides one pair stacked on the other. But these barrels look better.

Problem is... more barrels makes the gun heavier. The plus of the side by side wasn't for two shots. One barrel was fully choked and the other was open. So one barrel was close range and the other was long range.
