Daemonion is really busy with stuff IRL, and I (I've been doing scripting and engine mods) have also been busy with work. The inner workings of the team are kind of shifting around and the project looks like it's going to undergo some big changes. I'm really sorry, but I don't think LURK 1.2 is coming out this year.

However, on the modeling side of things, we've got a ton of brilliant work for weaponry that's been progressing smoothly (as this is rather independent of how the main game is going to work, since we have the look and feel down).

You can run it on DOSBox. That's how I play it in Linux.

Don't forget it's both indie and source. From my experiecne that means it will likely have mods falling out of its ears at some point.

Though I don't agree with platform exclusivity, I definitely would like to boot into Debian more often to play games simply because I've taken so much time to customize the OS to my liking :D

I bought Arma 2 just for this! The work done on PR:BF2 was simply amazing. I just hope the dev team will get the opportunity to make their own standalone game some time in the future. That would be my dream game

I would definitely love to see a wrapped-in-cloth, or like a dirt-crusted version now that you mention it. Even if it wasn't included, what IS included has more than enough coolness to suffice.

Just checked this page out of curiosity (haven't played PR in a while). I don't think I could have timed this any better.

I haven't gone too far into the story line as of yet, but as for my first impressions, this is an outstanding mod. Playing this doesn't even feel close to oblivion (which is a good thing for me). The few quests I've done so far have already done a great job of being much better than the drab, uninspired quests I did while trouncing through the countryside in vanilla. The look of the environments have also been magnificent. I'll leave more impressions as I progress further. So far, excellent work!

I find it amusing that the overall rating for this mod has gone down since the release of 1.1. Too cool for noobs I guess...

I'm actually relieved that June 1st wasn't the release. If it was, I would have failed all of my finals, as I wouldn't be able to tear myself away from my computer and do any studying.

I, for one, will gladly fork over my money for this. If there is a chance for these devs to make stuff that is (dare I say) even better than what they've made now (which will be quite a feat) due to having extra finances, then count me in.

Well, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, since the news regarding the new lighting stuff simply said "tell us what you think."

I think the new HDR looks very nice; it'd be pretty cool to see that effect implemented in 1.1. However, I don't quite like the sun flare, as it looks a bit out of place.

I think that's a bit odd. I can understand not hinting, but I think that's what's going to happen anyway...

Definitely tracking this. Got into SCCT versus about a week or two ago (I know, pretty late), and a friend informed me of this project. Looks very promising, and I hope everything turns out great (It looks like it already has so far).

I've had the same bug, and deleting all but the nightvision files doesn't seem to fix it. And, to add another thing that catches fire with nightvision/anomaly detector to the list: mines (like the ones outside the military base at the beginning) also light up.
