Do you draw these drawings with pencil and paper and then bring the opacity way down and trace over with a tablet? Just wanting to learn the technique cause I ordered a tablet and your art style is very good. Thanks.

Excellent! I can't help but want these monoliths to be a 'secret' path to a city, located on the highest monolith, sheltered from the rest of the world.

Perhaps an order of warrior monks, living in solitude?

While the game assets and engine are looking good I only fear that the engine will not be able to display much of it at the same time with good performance.

This level is pretty empty, just a bunch of simple models and the top FPS is 30.

While 30 is good enough, on a level this simple it should be much higher. NS2 is also looking really good, but they have so much lag it's not really fun to play.

you have to remember they are using recording software at the same time and that usually can bog down the framerate quite a bit.

Fair enough, I hope that's the only reason. I remember similar framerates when I tested it on my laptop (old) and pc (also old but 8800GTX with 64bit 3ghz, so it should be higher - this isn't crysis).

They also have not started serious optimization on the engine yet. So right now, all the models are at full quality, all the time. Once the optimization starts, people should see a big improvement in frame rate.

There is a huge amount of optimization potential. It just hasn't been done yet (you never want to do premature optimization).

I have a great laptop (Alienware x15) with great specs and it runs at around 135 fps most of the time but it will go down to 30 and sometimes 1 fps while I'm using recording software.

Nice updates!

The transition from climbing a wall, and making it to the top looks quite "fast". A smoother transition might make it look more natural.

Also, while watching it, I started to really notice that the gliding animation is always the same. Thus, maybe also vary that one randomly?
Would help make it more natural.

That was the first thing I noticed when watching this video I was hoping someone else would too, yeah it would be nice to have smoother transitions when making it to the top of a leg and randomized climbing animations would be a bit more realistic
