Just wanted to say that I noticed that this Remastered Patch 1.83i you have here on Moddb doesn't work with Revelation + Remastered but seeing as Revelation is old anyway and you dropped support I guess it wasn't supposed to anyway or needed. Revelation itself seems to work fine with the Remastered UI, at least I didn't notice any problems yet. Whenever that Remastered Patch is used with Revelation + Remastered, VATS crashes the game upon entering. I mainly left this here as a note for others who might run into such issues.

Thats absolutely fine for me. No sense in fiddling with something you have no more motivation for. Beside, from what I am seeing it still works fine and as it should. At least I didnt notice any problems. Guess I just have to live without the newer Vanilla UI Plus improvements from the last releases.

I tried looking up forums about such a post but couldn't find it. You mean Nexus Mods forums?

Ehm yeah. I meant Command Extender with "JIP port", sorry. I am aware it only has a few of the more common features ported and isn't the same thing. Sorry for the confusion.

Btw, bit of an offtopic question but Im fiddling around with some of my modbuilds. I noticed that your Vanilla UI Plus Revelation mod hasn't been updated in almost 3 years and still uses an old version of your UI mod. Might there be any chance you might update Revelation? Its one of my favorite UI mods since it gives the whole game such a great original charm. Maybe its not neccessary, I dont know but I believe you have added many new features and improvements in Vanilla UI Plus which arent covered by your Revelation port with an older 2017 version of your Vanilla UI Plus mod. I was wondering if the FO3 version of VUI+ also works with Vanilla HUD Remastered patch and even FO3 Pittgal on top. I ask because the HUD Remastered is technically designed for FNV but seems to work with FO3, according the mod comments. But your FO3 VUI+ version is from last year and the FNV VUI+ version is a lot higher and also the Remastered compability patch is from May. Urgh, sorry for being so confusing with all this. I just wonder if everything would work fine with each other or if there are problems or incompabilities. And finally, yes I do know there is TTW. I have used TTW for years but wanted to try giving the original Vanilla FO3 a spin again, especially since the modding possibilities have really gone far in the past 2 years, thanks to StewiesAI tweaks and even a JIP port.

Is there a way to make the main menu animated again? Usually it shows a map in the background up to where you are in the main game. But with Mmod installed the background is just greyed out. Unimmersive.

Thats just fine for me. Guess I play 223 then. I just recently finished my modbuilds for FNV and TTW so I guess I play FNC after playing through FO3 and FNV. Thanks for your time still giving frequent support after so much time! :)

Weird. Maybe just doesnt work in 2560x1080 21:9 resolution. The default Unofficial Patch logo does display just fine though.

Btw, I think this mod screws up the main menu logo. Whenever I use the version that comes with this HD textures, the logo in the main menu looks really zoomed in and you can only see like 1/4 from it. Maybe because you upscaled it 4 times but the game cant handle this resolution in the main menu? Just a thought. Only problem I noticed so far.

Does this mod use fixed and improved textures from the unofficial patch or really just from the original game?

Damn I love these AI texture mods! They are so great, especially this one. Fascinating that now almost everyone can easily upscale textures and make them higher quality without making them from scratch or changing the game artstyle. This is like a official HD option! So great, thanks a lot!

About the removed intro videos, that FC2 MF Launcher actually has a option to skip the videos, which makes the change by your mod redundant because the user can decide to skip them anyway.

Another thing I noticed is, that savehouses are blinking. I actually thought this was fixed.

Wasnt there also once a default map icons and cursor version? Cant find it on moddb anymore. I really dont mind the icons but its almost impossible to get around without cursor on my map. I always get lost. I have a horrible space memory and even get lost sometimes in my home city... Ehe...

I actually play capped at 140FPS (144hz) and I dont have this problem at all. I also dont use Vsync since Gsync works. And I play at DX9. I dont think the limit needs to be at 60FPS.

Gotta say... The difference isnt that big but my FPS... holy ****. Before I had 100FPS in 8K and now I have 30. Not worth the FPS hit to be honest.

However, how do I use graphic tweaks in my game now? The MF Tool has a option to execute batch files but how does it work exactly? How do I have to put my settings into the file and does it need to have a .bat ending or is .txt fine too? I want to use stuff like

What are these graphic tweaks you talk about in the patch notes? Are those the ones I always use too? That would make them unneccessary though.

Another weird thing I have is, that the intro with the driver is for some reason speeded up and the malaria comes a few seconds after we started driving, which means I cant see all. So far the only problem I noticed, nothing too bad, hope that is the only thing. I already have a FPS limit and all but this still always happens for some reason.

Btw, the game still skips the intro videos from Ubisoft, even if its disabled in the launcher. Maybe your patch files also adds the change and it overrides?

So I noticed 2 bugs with the mod. The first is, that it actually doesnt seem to display the name of the Doom 2 Episode and just states some weird texture error. Doesnt happen with the BFG Doom 2 WAD weirdly enough.

And for some reason my executions dont work? If I press E on the suffering monsters, nothing happens. Already checked if the feature is disabled or not correctly bind but that doesnt seem to be the problem. Everything else works though, including wave, taunting and such stuff.

Maybe the game has no right to write settings? Or does it change everything else? Try running GZDoom/ZDL as admin and see if that changes anything.

You happen to load the mod with ZDL while also having the mod in the GZDoom autoload list? Because such errors usually appear if you load the wads/pk3s twice.

He already said he is no longer working on it. His version is "final". However, the creator of Brutal Doom is taking over this project so there will most likely be amazing updates at some point. Maybe he will also add the other episodes but probably first he will iron out the main gameplay and all.

I finished my first episode and everything seems to work dandy. However. I can't see the ending texts that are displayed after each Episode. Is there a option in GZDoom that disables it? Or does Brutal Doom? Well, I can live with it since I know the text almost out of my mind anyway, LOL! Just wondering.
