I was enjoying Syndicate, but I had to give it up because the bloom was hurting my eyes, this looks like a godsend.
I just wanted to say that I really like this. However, I have one problem with the 1.1 version that's been bothering me for a while, and that's the shield robots. They are a lot like the centaurs in Hexen, I think. Other than that I really like this, I hope to see 1.2.
Batman mod is broken on ZDoom and GZDoom (at least), but there is a patch out there that fixes it (search "batman zdoom patch," it should be the first link), and there's even a version of the patch that adds some new features, like boss health bars and a Batman that's not 4 feet tall.
Aliens TC seems to work just fine though, but you have to put the various pieces in in order.
Haha, been a while, but I did manage to get out of the cave eventually. The city looks pretty cool, and I really like the little touches. I shot a guard and people panicked, which was pretty cool.
I have a little modding question though, regarding SDL mods. Is there a simple way to add a strafe movement key? Like, A and D move you left and right type stuff. That's one of the things I really like about ECWolf, and a couple times I've tried to strafe-move and shoot at the same time, and that button combo spins the screen, not to mention I'm just more comfortable with that setup.
Well, complex levels are par for the course with Wolf3D games, its limitations make it difficult to make stuff that's not mazes (and the screenshots from later make it look like you've been able to do more with it!), but part of the problem with the level is the darkness and the palette, things get really murky really quickly, and the directions given by the guy in the cell being pretty bad.
The directions start off solid enough, but after you get the first key he tells you to go left, but you have to go back to him and then go left from looking at him, rather then left from the key as I first thought, and then he tells you to follow the waste, which is somewhat odd, as you have to go to areas where you can't see any, but as long as you keep going you should be fine, and then suddenly you have to go south from the second key, but south as a descriptor is completely useless in this situation, as there is no indication which way is which of the cardinal directions. I think just a little bit of reworking of the instructions the dude gives might help a bit.
Also, how many of your mods are connected? Is Frayed related to Krucible, beyond merely stylistic similarities?
What I played is pretty cool. Had it crash on me once. Stuck in the first level from a mix of trying to figure out directions and getting ripped apart by the tentacle things. By the time you realise you're getting hit you've lost 70% of your health, if you're lucky.
So, I want the gore for SP, but I don't want the gameplay changes. Does anybody know how to strip those out and leave just the blood and gore?
Played the Alpha until I got caught in a journal loop. Obviously very unfinished, but I like the potential. But those models, Jesus they are horrifying. As much as I hope you guys get better ones, those should get used for something later on.
Is it possible to get this working with ecwolf?
Hell yes. Can't wait.
This the continuation of the Storm of the Three Kingdoms mod? I love that mod.
Aw yeah, Bots! I always preferred playing with bots over actual people, so I am looking forward to this!
First I was excited, because art for a character. Then I was disappointed because I realized it's not the fighter or mage. Then I saw it, and it's hard to be disappointed. Looks awesome.
Ah, cool. Thanks! I shouldn't be surprised at problems, really, I have a crap video card.
Excellent mod. One thing I did notice is with filtering on, the bloodstains on the floor start to act weird when you put a bit of distance between you and them, disappearing or turning into blue squares.
I wish every mod was as simple to install as this one.
Gunning down zombies with tommy guns? That sounds so familiar... I like it.
Oh man, I loved the game. Absurdly difficult to find nowadays, though. I would track this, but I don't have Generals. I do, however, wish you the best of luck in this awesome endeavour.
In real life those discarded shells are absurdly hot, and will burn you if they hit your hands. That's why it bothers some people. Anyways, nice tommy gun.
I think he's saying:
"Quarter 3 of 2012 is a damn long time away. Can you please show us some in-game action shot to show us why we should wait?"
You need to use classic Half-Life, not Source.
I'm looking forward to Cthulhu 2.
Ah, go to Blendo Games, and they have a version for 1.3.1.
So... one person plays a slasher movie villain and everybody else plays a victim?
Anybody got this working on 1.3.1?
Excellent! I loved the first mod!
Looks pretty, and very different from the main game, and its other Custom Maps.
I tried the Heretic version, and it's pretty awesome, but is there a way to increase the random spawns? I love the number of monsters and would love to see more of them at a time.
I've only torrented one Indie game, and that was Minecraft. I followed that up two days later by shelling out the cash for the game because it was just that good. I torrent to try, and if I enjoy it, I buy it, but I try not to torrent indie games, because a lot of the ones I want to play have demos.
Any chance we'll get to see some of the GOREgeous system anytime soon?
