It's pretty buggy, don't think anyones really working on it anymore. It is definitely worth checking out though, something different and pretty ****** cool if you ask me lol
Out of all the screens this one is my favorite..about to be my background. Captures what I love about the entire stalker series perfectly, being almost alone in the dark searching for relative safety. Cant wait for a video to come out, I'd love to see what kind of atmosphere this game really has, I'd love to hear some of the old sounds that made stalker so creepy mixed with some new ones we haven't heard yet.
Actually the G36k comes one of two ways(I think), one has a scope and a red dot sight right above it and the other is just a 3x scope. But seeing as the red dot was pretty much useless in stalker I would have to agree that the single scope would be better. Too bad it's not like the Unreal engine used for RO2 where you could switch between the scope and iron sights on your sniper rifle, that would be ****** impressive to see in stalker
I like to think that given the economy in the Zone and how hard it would be to find and purchase the things you need a ****** flashlight would be very common. Thats my opinion though, plus the game is a little more challenging with a light that only lights up what your pointing it at...maybe have a couple different flashlights if xray would allow it, like a ****** 2 dollar light from the dollar store up to a 40 dollar Maglight.
I noticed that all the pistols eject rifle casings in a lot of mods and it kinda ruined using them for me. I pay a lot of attention to little details like that, Idk about anyone else but thats something I would like to see fixed. Loners comment had me thinking about that.
I tried re-downloading twice but I used winrar to unpack it so maybe thats the issue, I do remember it saying some files were being skipped while it did it's thing. Anyway, now that my rage has subsided a little bit I'm gonna do a system scan, I have a feeling that Rar$Dra thing is some kind of virus I picked up elsewhere. I've never seen it before so it strikes me as kinda odd. And I should apologize for the little psycho rant earlier, I just get frustrated when I do the same **** and get nowhere. I'll get it working eventually, just gotta be patient with myself. Thanks for the help guys.
Ok, I've been trying for hours to get this mod to install but every time I open the installer it's either Gamedata doesn't exist or some other ****** error. Can you make a better installer?? I tried installing it manually with the files in the folder I extracted everything into but still no luck, I even tried uninstalling stalker and starting over fresh. Idk if I did something wrong or what but I'm pretty much over it, getting way too frustrated at what seemed like a simple process. It looks like a great mod, love everything I read about it, but I can not get the ****** installed.
I'll just run through what I did the first time.
Downloaded the rar
Patched to 1.0006
Opened the installer
Chose default FOV and vanilla grass settings
Did I do something wrong somewhere or what?? I don't have the steam version so I know thats not the issue. Now that I think about it I did get another window saying Rar$Dra0.273 something or another was copying files..had a feeling it had nothing to do with the mod so I canceled it, was that my fatal error??
I wouldn't think so, as far as I know Lurk isn't compatible with any other mods
Havent really checked this one out in a minute. Looking good though, just flipped through the new weapon textures, they look outstanding. I loved the PPSH especially, looked all worn out and rugged, but still usable as it should be. Just one thing though, about the ar15 style rifles, is the carrying handle going to be removable?? It bothered me so much that weapon sights were mounted on the carrying handle instead of being able to take it off and having a flat top receiver.
Oh, another thing worth mentioning while I'm thinking about it, please do something about the LR-300's rear sight, instead of it being an actual rear aperture/peep sight/whatever you wanna call it gsc made it look kinda like a v-sight with a circle in the center for whatever reason, I'm almost positive it's the same kind of sights you'd look through on an M16/M4...sorry, tiny details like these bug the **** out of me.
Outstanding work though guys, this mod has come a long way since I first found it a few years ago.
Love the dirty looking hands, not overdone and actually look quite good, the hands of a man willing to earn his loot lol

Wow..first time I actually looked at one of these markers, just realized it's got a birth/death year...and to think I always thought they were just stashes. What would be cool as hell is if some of them had documents giving a little history on who's grave that is, like a friend left something so that his name would be remembered. Brings a proverb to mind, "Cattle die, kingsmen die, all men are mortal, but a good name lives forever."
Why?? Even a lot of the Germans in WW2 would throw theirs away and pick up a PPSH
Whats the point of only being able to detect artifacts with the bolts equipped?? Maybe if you could make it so the detector finds it and the iron in the bolt reacts with the artifact to make it visible when you throw it, making them a little more difficult to find too.

2nd tip couldn't be more true. I remember my first playthrough, took me at least 5-6 tries to kill the bandits holding Nimble. It was a huge shock more or less coming from CoD2 and the Medal of Honor games..then there was the first experience with bloodsuckers in the Agroproms underground...needless to say when I went looking for a good video game that had everything I was looking for the Stalker series did that and more for me, countless hours sitting up at 2am almost scared shitless.
Containers lined with lead?? I hope you guys plan on making the boxes themselves pretty heavy. A square foot of 1/2" should weigh around 25-30 lbs, 59.2 if it's 1". A 12x12 box should hold artifacts, most of them don't seem much bigger than that to me. Regardless I think lead weighs .39 lbs per cubic inch so just go off that, I'd like to see as much realism in this mod as possible at this point. Keep it up guys, too many games rely on convenient inventories, this mod takes that away and makes us really pick and choose our gear instead of just taking 3 rifles and enough ammo and hand grenades to supply a patrol squad for a day or two.
All the ******** I had to deal with today is nothing now..I feel so much better after seeing this. Thanks for posting this Misery team, I'm definitely gonna keep tabs on this one.

Outstanding, I always thought other mods way overdid light shafts..don't get me wrong, they looked pretty cool but these is absolutely much more believable

You should think about remaking the SP campaign as well, that would be ****** outstanding
Something about that tattoo, it looks too fresh to me I guess, like it hasn't really been there as long as the game would have you believe. I'm a bit of a perfectionist but I'd touch it up a little, fade it out a bit, get some scarring in there, make it look like whoever did it had only a slight idea of what they were doing and just kinda put needle to skin. Again, perfectionist...and I ****** love tattoos lol

Sweet ****, idk much about modding past config files for weapons mainly, always ended up changing weather in SHoC for a couple levels too so it wasn't always daylight out. Like anything else though it takes time, a lot of trial and error till it's right where you want it. I'm sure this mod will be outstanding once it's finished, otherwise I'm feeding your corpse to a pack of wild dogs ;P Hey, I could be a **** and tie you to a tree without shooting you first lol vodka

For a second I almost thought this was another attempt at a stormy afternoon or a blowout...everything looks good but in my honest opinion it's just alittle bit too bright..I like to be scared a bit when I cant see something just before it attacks me

Honestly I loved CS Complete...but I haven't really played any other mods for CS yet, uninstalled it a few months ago.
I think it was more or less too add some weapon variety, same as the fn2000.
Never tried out AA1, thinking I prolly wont and just wait for AA2 to come out. The main thing I noticed in the videos are the sounds, reminded me of living out in the sticks when I was a kid man, great job with the ambience. Love the textures as well, Misery is one of my all time favorite mods and you more or less nailed it for SHoC.
Just tried playing this again and I gotta say I'm kinda disappointed. Got back to Beard after the dredge station, tuna was dropping off the artifact I let him keep, and it crashed again. The first time it crashed I just got to the Skadovsk's front door. Other than the pu scope having the reflection of being inside a building I don't have many other complaints. It's a great mod, has great potential but I think it just needs a couple patches to get it where it should be.
