VTMB: Clan Quest Mod

Mod review may contain spoilers

Well quite an awesome mod indeed, there's some bugs that are necessary to be fixed but let's start describing it.

1: Loved the new characters, all the East LA part felt refreshing. The voice acting and story was really cool too.

2: The diablerie system is really cool too, being able to combine disciplines from so many clans opens the door to so many new ways to resolve a problem (getting more damage/resistance to fight combining Potence+Fortitude+Bloodboost, to combine Protean+Auspex to raise Wits for hacking, to be stealthy and fast combining Obsfuscate+Celerity). The augmented frenzy probability and the fact that you wont receive as many occult objects as in the normal quests compensate really well the advantages.

3: There's still some major bugs to fix, the ones I encountered were
-Heather and Yukie would dissapear whenever I'd go to the Empire Hotel, and would dissapear forever when starting the Giovanni mission.
-You can start speaking to Arianna about Victoria even before knowing Victoria at all. Same happens if you try to get into the Lacroix Tower, he'll force you to tell him about the sarcophagus even if you still have no idea, yet you'll tell everything to him.

4:The Victoria ending was awesome! being able to beat down Andrei and take his place is for sure the ending where you get the highest position of power in all the game. The Hazel one on the other side... well, let's say it's too easy to mess it up.

5: I get the idea the author had regarding the werewolves being undefeatable for a single cainite, yet taking into account you can carry grenades and even a rocket launcher when it's stated Nines killed one with, precisely a grenade, kinda contradicts burgermeister's idea.

Mount & Blade: Warband

Game review

Positve:

-The amount of customization you can do to your character is really awesome, from the leveling to the gear it can wear, the variety is really splendid.
-The variety on the possible personalities of the lords is also quite good, it not only affects possible dialogue options but also their general behaviour and their opinions regarding your previous actions and even your origin.
-The amount of possible fighting scenarios is also really nice, well... except the siege battles, that are really unfair to the invading side due to the lack of siege weapons.

-Negative.
-Lords are really stupid, I could get if they d'get angry if I give a fief to an enemy of them... but instead they will always get angry if I dont give them any fief I have... even when their current territory is at the other side of the map for god's sake! They'd have some way of geographical awareness to realize they'd never defend so much territory! Also there's that time I faced a king with my entire army (we outclassed him by far) yet my allies left me alone cause individually, if their armies faced the king's one in an one-vs-one they'd lose!

Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Game review

I had to play it heavily moded to be fun. I can accept I'm not a ******* Rambo at level 1 but having a stupid rat to beat me while I have a short sword and not only the rat will receive 1 of damage but I will also fail 50% or more of my attacks is stupid beyond belief.

That and reflect spell... that **** almost made me quit. Any puny and stupid creature returned my spells and so the "Mighty" Nerevarine had to run away from some pitiful Ash Ghouls while casting his weakest spells depleting its life slowly.

Luckly this game has such a good and big community of modders I managed to fix all those problems and have a good overall experience after all.

Half-Life: Decay

Mod review

A very good official addition to the HL universe. I found it funnier in a way since I had to think my strategies differently while playing single player since I had to make sure the other player was safe (I liked to switch them from time to time and to share the available ammuntion between them) and the lack of both autosaving and quicksave made it more challenging

The bad now is that it doesn't allow you to change the difficulty and it has some CTD bugs sometimes and in the dorms mission the guard suddenly died without reason (that was really annoying). Besides those minor issues, this team made a really awesome work allowing us to play such a game. Would love to see your game at Steam some day.

Deus Ex: Revision

Mod review

I had to change my vote, Revision just has a bug with the maps file that lets the game without music at all. Dont know if it's due to it being a non-steam version or not. But that bug ruins everything for me.

The Nameless Mod

Mod review may contain spoilers

Even though I had a bug with my graphic card I managed to continue with the game.

At the beginning it can become a bit confusing but after a restart I found the game quite more enjoyable, it manages a lot of new and improved concepts such as improved vending machines and weapons stores and I felt that I had more freedom while playing this than when playing Deus Ex.

However the plot has some weak points, I guess it's a virual reality forum, but if it's not real then I feel there's no real threat and even for the characters deep down it'd be just a game and nothing more. Maybe I'm wrong since I didn't manage to end the game due to problems with my PC but that was the feeling I had

Phantasy Calradia

Mod review

All right, brand new review since it's a brand new update. Gotta love the weapons, class and race variety this mod offers. The merge with Diplomacy is one of the best improvements, now even if orcs gather tons of tropes you can at least make alliances with other kingdoms in order to balance the odds not like before when the orcs just curb stomped everyone.

The dev is releasing new updates all the time and is quite active in the comments, only downside is that since it's unfinished, of course there are plenty of bugs (though not game breaking luckly).
