The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is an epic, open-ended single-player game where you create and play any kind of character you can imagine. Be the noble hero embarking on an epic quest, or an insidious thief rising to leadership of his guild. Be a malevolent sorcerer developing the ultimate spell of destruction, or a reverent healer searching for the cure to a plague. Your actions define your character, and your gameplay changes and evolves in response to your actions. Confront the assassins' guild, and they take out a contract on you. Awesome game, spent hours playing it.

I bought it in 2005 and I'm still playing with thinks "Yeah, it's better than other TES games!". And in my opinion it is, despite of low resolution graphics and some bugs - great, sandbox-like world, a lot of items and npc's, brath-taking storyline and neverending community support - after decade of having it on my hard disk, I shall not uninstall it! :D

*insert childhood memories here*
yep this game is more of a legend.

The most charming, well-executed and deep of the Elder Scrolls games by far for me. This is a real RPG where you have to use your head with no quest markers or "points of interest" holding your hand and before Elder Scrolls became "made for consoles". A real old-school RPG with awesome senses of exploration, vast areas and deep roleplaying opportunities. Morrowind is such a cool setting in Elder Scrolls as well and is far more unique that the bland Skyrim and Imperial settings. Those who experienced Morrowind when it was released know that it is still the best Elder Scrolls experience for the atmosphere and "vibe" of the game.

The other Elder Scrolls games are just too vanilla and mass-market appeal. Overall, Morrowind is a masterpiece of a game from the golden era...before horse armor and mass-market appeal. It is ironic to think that Bethesda were the ones who, with Oblivion, started the soulless decay of the videogame industry with arguably the first ever truly commercial DLC (or "content that should or could have been in the game, but why not sell it for extra").
