Installation instructions:

Download the latest release and extract the contents into your cod4 root directory.
Refer to the project page for latest info and configuration settings
For multiplayer, use this instead

Issues:

changing resolution or anything else that requires the game to restart the renderer might crash the game

use commandline arguments like c:\path\iw3sp_mod.exe +set r_fullscreen 0 or edit your player config (cod4/players/yourprofile) before starting the game

effects slow down the game a bit (really depends on the effect and the amount - use fx_enable 0 or fx_cull_ dvars to adjust to your liking - marking certain effect textures as ignore might help as well)
objects might flicker due to disabled culling on LARGE maps (there is just too much going on and the iw3 engine just cant keep up)
^ this can also affect the spawned skybox (looks like it moves with the camera)

Immediate Results after the First Wave

We reached the end of Wave 01 to help me finance Comando Rio. 100% were Call of Duty Rio players, which was already expected, but we had 4 supporters from outside Brazil, 3 from Portugal and 1 from USA. It was a pleasant surprise!

Thank you all for the support! Wave 02 (still restricted to the website) is now active! Come and participate in all the development, testing and playing BEFORE everyone else! Soon will be also available at Kickstarter as soon as I have more content to show.

These are two Screenshots made with Assets purchased today with backers' money. This goes beyond helping with the graphic quality of Comando Rio, it will also greatly speed up the development of the maps, in addition to of course making the environment more and more real as never before when portraying my beloved and chaotic city.

I wish there was realistic difficulty mod like in BO3 when you get killed instantly by one bullet, it would make it more interesting! CoD4 was already hardcore compared to all other cods!

You can make your own menu with the compiled raw files.
Means, anyway you have to load a mod to get the "modded" menu.

I liked this game when it first came out, but it eventually spawned 99.9% of the morons who made MW2 their own personal middleschool religion. And strangley I found MW2 To play a lot smoother than this, MW2 drew it's weapon damage and such off World at War, sometimes in COD4 I Couldnt even tell when I hit someone.
