About Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with

Back in 2009 a little game called Modern Warfare 2 disappointed pc gamers by removing everything that makes the PC version of the game superior to any of its console brethren. I am talking about dedicated servers. The act disabled any sort of real modding to the game along with the ability to make custom maps, build communities and not be forced into waiting for the develoepr to patch the multiplayer with extra content.
Good news everyone, Modern Warfare 3 will have dedicated server support for PC players! This was revealed today at Gamescom by the associate manager for Call of Duty Digital, Jay Frechette, and reaffirmed by Sledgehammer boss Glen Schofield on Twitter.
It is good to see developers learning from their mistakes, the mapping community will not be silent if you cross them! *fist pumps and so on*

Anybody know where I can get any licensing information on this engine? Is it even open for others to develop with anymore?

WORST AI EVER!!!
how can i get it please
You can't.
Yeah so um,, the Indie game Overdose uses ID Tech 2, and it looks FAR better than all of the Call of Duty games.
It uses a heavily modified version of Id Tech 2, even they say that it isn't Id Tech 2 anymore, they used that engine as a base to build a completely new one. But, I agree with you (and thats why I gave you a +) on the better looking thing.
It doesn't have high detail models. it has textures made to look like they are.
the following should be changed
* Dynamic shadow ( no day and night cycles. no way to prove )
* Dynamic physics system ( Simple Physics on certain objects )
* Radgoll physics ( they are poor and appear for 2 seconds )
* Realistic fire ( only set pieces burn )
* Advanced weather effects ( No, they are simple )
* Realistic character animation ( not a technology, this is art work )
* High detailed objects ( High textures, low polys )
People calling this a nice engine can't really back it up.
This is a simple engine. Generic at best. But it works and gets the job done.
maby if they did not have the console limit it would excel but other then that it was no real power.
It actually does have Dynamic shadows. The ship mission in CoD4 is testament to that. There are also a number of other missions what have shadows that bounce around and react to shifting light sources. Just because there are no Day/Night cycles doesn't mean that it doesn't have Dynamic shadows.
