Once more, Star Trek day has rolled around, and it's a great day to be a Trekkie with interviews and show announcements aplenty. GOG is celebrating with their own Star Trek sale, so here's mods not only for those games on sale, but TCs for other games, bringing the Final Frontier to our screens!

Star Trek: Sacrifice of Angels 2 Diplomacy

By SOA2 MOD TEAM

Klingon attack on Ferrengi

Continuing the epic battles of the original Sacrifice of Angels mod for Homeworld. Sacrifice of Angels 2 uses the Sins of a Solar Empire engine to add on an "empire building" mechanic for a truly epic Star Trek Experience. Originally kicking off for the original Sins of a Solar Empire, this sequel mod transitioned to a newer version of the game and continued its march towards brilliance - culminating in its latest (and greatest) release in 2013.

A new story set after the events of the game, the Hazard Team are beamed down to a romulan occupied planet to track down a romulan spy who has leaked data on the Exomorphs. The Romulans have been using whatever means necessary to prevent Munro and his team from finding the spy including guards, snipers, and the remaining Exomorphs.

Homeworld 2 is another one of those game engines that has been a favourite of modders for many years as a great vehicle not only for expansion of the base game - which has its dedicated fans - but also for total conversion into other franchises. Star Trek has received a few takes over the years but one of the most stand-out is the aptly-named Star Trek : Homeworld 2, which gives you everything you need for top-tier strategy in the final frontier.

Star Trek: Armada 3

By Stellar Parallax

Return to Glory

Star Trek: Armada III begins with the first stirrings of the Dominion War and allows players to take command of five unique factions, the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union/Dominion Alliance, and the Borg Collective. Explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one has gone before.

Star Trek Armada II Future Wars

By FLAM Modding

Federation Base

The Future Wars Mod is a Total Conversion to the known Star Trek Universe for the game Star Trek Armada II. This Mod is differently as the most other Mods. The time frame is not the TNG, DS9 or the other Star Trek episodes, now you will play 100 years after Star Trek – Nemesis. Setting a story in a whole new century of Star Trek, it has a remarkable degree of freedom to add to Star Trek's already rich and detailed story.

The Final Frontier

Star Trek Day is a yearly affair, much like May The 4th, used as a day to focus on the classic sci-fi franchise and announce new shows, interviews, and the like. Last year's Star Trek Day had GOG's contribution being the addition of a bunch of old Star Trek titles to the service - some classics like Elite Force I and II, and Star Trek Armada I and II suddenly became far easier to obtain than ever before. Now, GOG's commemorating the event with a little sale on these previously added titles.

To Boldly Mod

The sale ranges from 25% to 35% on eight classic Star Trek games, and sci-fi fans in general could eat well over the sale period with other franchises like BATTLETECH and Stellaris taking part as well. The sale runs until September 15th, meaning you've got plenty of time to decide what's your fancy.
