Der Future Wars Mod ist eine Total Conversion zum bekannten Star Trek Universum für das Spiel "Star Trek - Armada II". Dieser Mod ist anders als die meisten Mods, denn er spielt nicht in der Zeit von "Star Trek - Generations", "Star Trek - DS9" oder anderen Star Trek Serien, sondern spielt 100 Jahre nach "Star Trek - Nemesis"

Nach nun bald 9 Jahren arbeit an dem Mod, mit sehr vielen Rückschlägen ist nun endlich bald die Zeit gekommen den Mod frei zum Download an zu bieten. Der Mod war selbst schon mehrere male fast gecancelt worden, da wir von sehr vielen Leuten immer wieder Hilfe angeboten bekommen haben und diese Leute dann nur den Mod kassiert haben und ihre Arbeit nicht machten. Trotz dieser Rückschläge sind wir nun endlich in der Endtestung angekommen. :-)

An dieser Stelle auch gleich noch mal ein großes Dankeschön, an die Leute die uns so tatkräftig unterstützt haben und diesen Mod möglich gemacht haben!

Die Story:

Es ist eine düstere Zeit - nach fast 100 Jahren endet nun eine Ära des Friedens und Wohlstandes. Diese Ära begann bei Sternzeit 56844.9 - bekannt als der "Nemesis - Zwischenfall", an dessen Ende sich die 3 mächtigsten Fraktionen des Alpha und Beta Quadranten zu einem Bündnis zusammen schlossen.

Was keiner Ahnen konnte war die Tatsache, dass das Dominion insgeheim seit dem Ende des Dominion Krieges nach neuen Möglichkeiten suchte um doch noch den Alpha und Beta Quadranten unter seine Kontrolle zu bekommen. Davon besessen expandierte das Dominion innerhalb des Gamma Quadranten bis sie auf das Territorium der Borg stießen. Bei den Borg finden sie endlich die Technologie von denen sie sich den gehofften taktischen Vorteil versprechen - die Transwarp Technik. Damit waren sie nicht mehr auf das Wurmloch bei Bajor angewiesen, welches ihnen im Dominion Krieg den Nachschub abschnitt. Mit Hilfe dieser Technologie konnte das Dominion Wechselbälger unbemerkt nach Cardassia schicken, wo sie die Politische und Militärische Führung unterwanderten. Gleichzeitig wurden die Breen wieder ein Teil des Dominion.

Nach dem dieser Schritt abgeschlossen war, wurden weitere Wechselbälger mit Hilfe der Transwarptechnik in den Alpha Quadranten geschickt. Dieses mal war jedoch die Föderation das Ziel - sie übernahmen Schlüsselpositionen innerhalb der Föderation sowie der Sternenflotte. Die Folge dessen war, dass viele Gesätze geändert wurden, viele Direktiven außer Kraft gesetzt wurden und die Sternenflotte zu einer aggressiven Expansion getrieben wurde. Viele der kleineren Völker wurden gewaltsam in die Föderation integriert. Es kam zu überfällen auf Klingonen und Romulaner, was zur Folge hatte, dass sämtliche Bündnisse aufgekündigt wurden und es zu immer häufigeren Kämpfen entlang der Neutralen Zone kam. In Folge dessen, desertierten viele Sternenflottenoffiziere und bildeten zusammen mit den Bajoranern und Ferengi einen neuen Maquis - stärker und größer als je zuvor.

Und nun - nun steht der Alpha und Beta Quadrant in Flammen. Überall wird gekämpft und DU bist mitten drin......

Star Trek - Armada II - Future Wars


The Future Wars Mod is a Total Conversion to the known Star Trek Universe for the game Star Trek Armada II. This Mod is differently as the most other Mods. The time frame is not the TNG, DS9 or the other Star Trek episodes, now you will play 100 years after Star Trek – Nemesis.

Since 9 years of hard work with a lot of setbacks we think the time is now coming as soon as possible to release the Mod free for download. We had sometimes also some critical situations, so that we had the decision to cancel the Mod, but don’t worry it wasn’t so. The reason was that a lot of people have offered their help but the most of them were just grabbing the Mod and haven’t working on it. But don’t worry, we were still able to bring the Mod to the final test phase.

Now also at first some more information for all the English speaking people of our Mod. You will be able to install the Mod in German and English. But now let us explain the biggest different to the complete German version. Because we have searched 1½ years for some English voice actors and translators, but it wasn’t easy to find someone and there was also a huge lack of English translators. So we have found some people, but the biggest problem was that we had 24 voice acting parts and not enough people for them. It was also not in our interest to place this two or three people for all the 24 voice acting characters, we think that would be a little bit strange.

Well, there will be no English voice acting audio and also the mission briefings will be only in German. But all the text only with some exceptions will be available in English.

Maybe – given the chance the Mod will be successful and we will find also enough people to help. Then I’m also willing to make an 100% English patch with some people.

At last a big Thank you to all the people who helped and supported us and have made the Mod possible.

The Story:

It was a dark time, after almost 100 years an era of peace and wealth has come to an end.

This era started at star date 56844.9 known as the Nemesis incident. At the end of this time the three most powerful factions of the Alpha and Beta Quadrant has formed a powerful alliance.

But no one has anticipated one important fact. The Dominion was searching secretly for new possibilities since the end of the Dominion War to invade and control the Alpha and Beta Quadrant. Thereof obsessed the Dominion was expanding into the Gamma Quadrant till they had contact to the Borg territory. By the Borg they have finally found one technology to get maybe there tactical advantage which they hoping for, the transwarp technique.

Now they were no longer dependent on the wormhole at Bajor, which was a cut off to his supplies by the Dominion War. With the help and power of this technology the Dominion was able to send “Wechselbälger” unnoticed to Cardassia where they infiltrated the political and military leadership. At the same time the Breen becomes again a part of the Dominion.

After that action was done, more „Wechselbälger were send into the Alpha Quadrant with the transwarp technique. But the Federation was now the target. They adopt the key role within the Federation and the Starfleet and the consequence of this was that a lot of laws were changed and also many directives were cancelled. The Starfleet was forced into an aggressive expansion. A lot of the smaller races were forcibly integrated into the Federation.

Klingons and Romulans get raided and the reasons of this were that the most alliances were cancelled and more and more battles arisen on the neutral zone. Another reason was that a lot of Starfleet officers deserted and formed together with the Bajorans and Ferengi a new Maquis, stronger and bigger as before.

And now is the Alpha and Beta Quadrant in flames. Everywhere battles and you are in the conflict….

the team has final decided to release an english voice acting patch if it's possible, in the view of enough response. We need at least 11 voice acting people, one of it must be a female voice. Again if you have interest, please go to this forum and write a posting (the so called deadline is the end of March ;)

Does anyone know where the music from this mod is from? I'm certain I heard it in a movie that never released but I can't remember the name of the movie and it's driving me crazy. I believe it was a medieval movie.

Hello there, I know that this might seem like a really small gripe, but can you please tone down or remove the installer music, it's overpowering EVERYTHING else on the computer. I can't listen to what I want whilst installing the mod because of it, I can hear other things, but the Installer music dampens out everything else to make it barely there.

The Music might be Star Trek Related, but that doesn't mean I want to listen to it constantly whilst the Installer does it's thing. I can also hear it far too clearly when I have my headphones off. I've had to turn sound off to stop it annoying me, it's as loud as my Spotify on maximum volume and they're competing.

Edit, a short while later: Fine, I found the sound button. But it is annoying.

I'm trying to put the Allegiance class into my own personal mod, and I've copied the odf, sod and textures and it shows ingame, but when I build it, it shows as the white square with a spider on it?

I'm trying to put it into stock A2 btw
Any help?

Future Wars uses new emitters. Open the emitters.spr from Future Wars, and copy the new entries into your emitters.spr.

Their 3d models should now work.

It sounds like there is a piece of code missing to connect the files. You have the files present but the game doesn't understand how to connect the sod, odf, and texture files together. I am not sure how to do this though.

As of recently, I have tried to install Star Trek Armada 2, but discovered my disk was damaged beyond usefulness. So in an attempt to play my favorite star trek game I downloaded a .mds virtual disk, proceeded to mount it and it installed properly but when I attempt to play it states that I don't have enough hard drive space (at least 50MB) which I have plenty of. I was wondering if anyone here knew a way around this or a fix.

Why aren't the Andorians even in this mod? Frankly this screenshot/image (https://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/10/9585/Screenshot8.jpg) is a major show of FALSE advertising on F.L.A.M.'s part! How can they release a mod with a picture of a race's ships' such as the Andorians and then not have them in the mod? Way to get someone's hopes up to play a race just to download the mod to find out that they are not there and that this picture is just another way to get people to download the mod.

I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED in the F.L.A.M. Modding Teams false advertising here and find it further discouraging that they haven't even released a patch for this mod to fix the errors with this mod, the fact that its only in German when they promised an English Version and to fix the fact that the Andorian Race is totally missing from the mod!
