RED-RESURRECTION is a mod developed for YR using the Ares enhancement. The mods primary aim is simple - to bring fun back to YR by testing new gameplay ideas such as more diverse armour types and counters, new Ares logics, reorganised tech trees for new strategies, special support powers and a whole lot more. Red-Resurrection is host to solid, fluid, well paced gameplay and new unit ideas that suit the over-the-top, nonsensical universe of Yuri's Revenge.

Patch 2.2.11 released!


It's been a couple of months since the last patch and in that time some significant changes have been made. Since the release of 2.2 I have been reworking countries that I felt were lacking, and the last of those was the United Kingdom, who has finally been given the attention they need in this release.



Calling in reinforcements from around the empire, the British Army is bolstered with special units capable of turning the tides of battle. Furthermore they gain the Pintail and Pop Shell, which replaces the Arms Jammer, and the Battle Fortress has been reworked.

Not only have the UK received additions however, Yugoslavia gains the Ironsmith, an infantry equipped to render your tank divisions unstoppable!

As always, new maps have been added as well. Below are a few samples...


Of course there are many balance changes too, bug fixes and so on! Here's an overview of the entire patch:

Big Features

  • Reworked the United Kingdom, altering existing units and removing and replacing others, including.
  • ADDITION: the Colonial Bureau for the UK T2. Provides units at intervals depending on your tech tier; the Skitter on T1 - a fast amphibious harassment unit equpped with mines, the Gurkha on T3 - a steadfast versatile soldier and the Wildcat at T4 - a long range anti-unit artillery.
  • ADDITION: the Pintail for the UK. An aircraft available at T3, replaces the Arms Jammer. Attaches a bomb to enemy vehicles that jams their weapons, and the weapons of surrounding vehicles, for 45 seconds.
  • ADDITION: Pop Shell support power for the UK. Spawns a tank bunker anywhere on the map, allowing you to fortify an area on the fly!
  • ADDITION: the Ironsmith for Yugoslavia. And infantry on T3 who can attach charges to friendly vehicles which double their armour when activated!
  • ADDITION: A new client feature; the Pick Random Map button, available in skirmish and multiplayer. Selects a random map based on the number of participants in the game.
  • 7 all new maps in skirmish and multiplayer.
  • A dozen reworked existing maps for more interesting strategies and improved balance.
  • Many balance adjustments and bug fixes.

The patch can be downloaded and manually installed, if you are unable to use the client updater for whatever reason.

Why tier 1 tanks don't have any hp regen unlike all other units?

Because early tier units are not meant to be as cost efficient as later tier units. You have cranes and IFVs for that. You can spam them effectively, unlike higher tier units, to make up for it.

Does not having regen on them is that much of a deal? I try to not build them at all because of the splash range on their shots, which leads to constant friendly fire amongst tank groups.

If its not that much of a deal why ask about it? :P Splash is there to discourage tank blobbing, so yeah it'll do that. Gotta micro tanks to be most effective or accept the losses.

I understand that, it's just I really like your idea of giving regen to units, I really appreciate this mechanic, because it gives a better dynamic to damaged units and game in general, they're no longer a burden after big fights, because even if with limited capacity they still can potentially recuperate.

haven't checked the soviets for this bug, but this is what i found:
the allied AI is able to somehow build defences near my base. is this intentional cheating or a bug??

Of course only following it from somewhere in 1.5 closed Beta. so far it has great promise. A definitly good possible continuation of what could've happened after the Allied victory of YR, while still keeping to some of the tech of the original and also expanding techs on both sides. It's not really a bad thing to leave the Yuri faction out of a YR mod, especially since you keep some of his tech in the Soviets, where he started. I enjoy streaming this as it's a different approach to modding this…
