RED-RESURRECTION is a mod developed for YR using Ares engine enhancements. The mod's aim is simple - to bring fun back to YR with a creative array of unit types, reorganised and expanded tech trees, special support powers, new missions and a whole lot more. Red-Resurrection is host to dynamic gameplay that rewards ability and new unit ideas that suit the over-the-top universe of Yuri's Revenge.

Patch 2.2.13 released!


YR Red-Resurrection is back baby, with a swathe of new units, Confederation buffs, new maps, AI improvements, graphical improvements, bug fixes and more! Check out a brief trailer below, showcasing some of the changes.


And that's just skimming the surface! To go into a bit more detail, let's take a look one of the coolest additions - the Vandal Scraptank.


A new tier 4 'monster tank' for Confederation, this beast is only available from a support power attached to the Revolutionary Headquarters. It only costs $1500 to spawn 3 of these bad boys, but before they can become too powerful they have to earn some kills! With each veterancy level the tank attaches more armour and weaponry, eventually becoming a formidable weapon that can turn the tides of battle.

Furthermore, navy has seen a number of additions to make that lacklustre area of combat more interesting. Both factions now get repair ships - the Rig and Lifeboat - as well as helicopter carriers - the War Turtle and Crocodile. This to add another layer of combat, where anti-aircraft can be a requirement and to help mixing of different unit types.


Moreover the Gunboat has been replaced with the Minisub, making early game engagements potentially more interesting. All pre-existing vessels have had balance adjustments as well.

Big Features

  • Addition: Minisub. Replaces the Gunboat for the Allies. A small submarine, good against light ships.
  • Additions: Rig and Lifeboat, for the Allies and Soviets respectively. Repair ships available at the Naval Yard.
  • Additions: War Turtle and Crocodile Heli-hauler, for the Allies and Soviets respectively. Available at the Naval Yard with either Airforce Command HQ or Air Strategy Centre. A long range attack helicopter carrier, good vs enemy vessels, structures and off-shore bombardment.
  • Additions: Charge Thrower and Torpedo Tower, for the Allies and Soviets respectively. Available with the Naval Yard, these two are defensive structures for use on water, with good range and sensors, intended to better protect the shore allowing fleets to spend their time elsewhere.
  • Addition: Vandal Invasion, support power for Confederation at the Revolutionary Headquarters. For $1500 credits it spawns 3 Vandal Scraptanks at the HQ, which are quick anti-tank vehicles. Their speciality is the ability to upgrade themselves with each veterancy level, gaining strength, firepower and anti-air / anti-infantry rockets as well! Furthermore they can enter Resistance Tunnels, allowing for powerful strikes anywhere on the battlefield.
  • AI updates including nerfs to support power usage and Chronosphere support.
  • New interactable natural features such as Destructible Rocks and Tornadoes (map specific).
  • 9 all new maps for skirmish and multiplayer.
  • Reworked over a dozen existing maps for more interesting strategies and improved balance.
  • Tonnes of significant balance adjustments and bug fixes.

Hey, I need a little help. When I start up a game of Red Resurrection, the client closes, then I'm staring at the desktop for an awkward and uncomfortable amount of time, then the screen goes black for an awkward and uncomfortable amount of time, that the game loads for an awkward and uncomfortable amount of time before I can finally play. Mental Omega does this too. However, regular YR doesn't really do this, desktop and load times are relatively short. Does anyone know a how to fix this?

I'm running this on Widows 10 and using the Ddrawcompat renderer.

Also, should the client menu have music?

Well, there's no Yuri faction that is playable in this mod so they exclude it.

Is there a world map to show how much control of the lands and their client states/puppet regime of each factions? I'm interested because colonialism still exist here on plenty of regions for factions like the UK and the Japan while the America got Headhunter to do their dirty job to kill leaders or topple government like that Lybia missions.

Btw I love that destructible rock video of your, 11/10 would laugh again =)).

Also how would your next missions look like though? Considering those Lybia missions require some realistic footage (America storming the beach or their army striking across the desert terrain) or something that close to that like those missions I watched from Alstar videos on Youtube how would you portray it for your other missions if they happened to be a conflict that is involved with thing like Soviet sending nuclear blast into their enemies or conflict happened between Japan and Russia on the Far East regions?

you don't need it, but i'll still leave some feedback about 2.13. %)
- Vandal is really cool and really deserves some spawn sound(some revolutionary scream or at least tank engine start sound)
- new helicopter-boats need some diversity in weapons/projectiles(just like new water turrets serve same role but do it quite different)
- maybe some turbine/moving sound for small plane that delivers soviet special troops? feels kinda "plastic" with no sounds at all, while it's not a glider.
- Britain is still not building Decimator teams.
- all Allied countries still don't use Chronosphere.

Vandal spawn really needs to have some cool sound, like with British reserves.!
btw, if ordered to fire back, Vandal with turned back turret quite resembles well known Soviet T34, and kinda looks even cooler than original design. X)

The campaigns don't add much to the size of it, unless you separately downloaded the cutscenes. The mod copies files from RA2YR to not conflict with mods. Of course, you could always merge the two folders if you wanted but then you'd only be able to play RedRes, and not other mods or the base game. Deleting ecacherrtheme.mix would save about 70MB.

the installer creates a new folder for the mod, copies the files it needs from your RA2YR directory and installs the rest of teh mods files into that folder, thus preventing conflicts with other mods. dont think the size of said folder can be reduced much, its really just the mod for the most part.

Of course only following it from somewhere in 1.5 closed Beta. so far it has great promise. A definitly good possible continuation of what could've happened after the Allied victory of YR, while still keeping to some of the tech of the original and also expanding techs on both sides. It's not really a bad thing to leave the Yuri faction out of a YR mod, especially since you keep some of his tech in the Soviets, where he started. I enjoy streaming this as it's a different approach to modding this…
