Swords vs. Spies is an asymmetric stealth total conversion mod for Insurgency. Inspired by the classic Splinter Cell: Spies vs. Mercs game mode, this is a unique multiplayer stealth experience that balances the scales of light and darkness, speed and strength, and brute force vs. cunning to bring an intense stealth experience to the already intense Insurgency battlefield. Use specialty gadgets to fool opponents, or interact with the world around you to provide advantages in this special stealth experience.

Features (Currently WIP):
+ Custom Theaters featuring reduced free-aim, unlimited focus, and various other modifications.
+ Asymmetric gameplay elements (Non-Lethal vs. Lethal etc.)
+ Unique custom gadgets and weapons for both teams. (Diversion devices and special explosives abound!)
+ Mod-exclusive custom maps featuring passive security systems, extensive ventilation networks, and distraction opportunities all in interesting and dynamic locations. Also featured in all new SvS maps are new Health and Ammo stations featuring limited uses, as well as the Enhanced Background Light Ambiance system that enhances NVG gameplay in low light situations.
+ New hacking PVP mode "Firewall", along with Co-op/Single-Player "Stealth" mode featuring an optional traditional stealth third-person view.
+ Updated movement mechanics. Focus on increased verticality and lateral movement. (Including modifications to speed and inertia etc.)
+ Updated damage modeling for armor and ammo.
+ New custom UI color scheme, faction icons, and backgrounds.
+ Integration of community content to enhance the experience.

Unless a server is running the mod, then there won't be any active games in the server browser.

So, now that the mod is released, I can proceed with new content and potential fixes for the mod. Update 002 will have some new content in the form of new items and a new map! Keep checking up on here!

It is! The page on steam workshop however directs to this page. The base content was too large for upload to the workshop. The map is on there though.

Working on some new HDR lighting setups for the maps, will be showing them off soon. It won't be too long until release, as the mod content itself is nearly done. Just map work right now.

It's my own version/interpretation of the original Spies vs. Mercs. Different name for creativity's sake. Also has a lot of it's own unique features.
