Release 1.3 NOW AVAILABLE ON STEAM WORKSHOP You are being chased by something, you are not certain what it is, but as you make your escape something starts to seem very off about all of this, something is very wrong, something far worse than what is chasing you. DEVS NOTE: This is a short mod I have been working on. It was developed over approx 3-4 weeks so dont expect anything fancy, but it is definitely worth your time. Expected playtime is 30 to 50 minutes. The mod is fully voice acted. Uploading recorded footage of the mod and any kind of use of said footage is fully permitted, including lets plays and earning money off of them. Feedback is much appreciated. If you encounter any bugs please give me as much information as you can.

this is just a .dll which I suspect there might be a small chance of fixing an issue where people are crashing when they start FUGA using modlauncher.exe...

So it's about a man going on an acid trip and overcoming his fear of doors. Nice. :)
Hello please check your private messages i have a problem with your mod!!
FATAL ERROR: Could not load script file 'maps/00_03_RealityBuilding.hps'!
00_03_RealityBuilding.hps (496, 13) : ERR : No matching signatures to 'ToolHandler_SetActive(const bool)'
You need a real betatester, my friend :)
Still crashes, because there's a path error in the resources.cfg.
For the additional assets, you must use this string:
<Directory Path="/mods/assets" AddSubDirs="true"></Directory> <--- correct
you wrote:
<Directory Path="/assets" AddSubDirs="true"></Directory> <--- wrong
You must fix the path, otherwise Soma.exe still crashes again and again.
The launcher is useless, I load the mods via command line using Soma.exe (full path of the mod entry.hpc).
Hope this help to clarify how Soma.exe works.
Cheers.
The launcher should not be useless. If you experience issues with the launcher you must report it to Frictional Games if you have not already.
The suggestion to alter the path to include "/mods" messes up the game so
it wont include certain assets, so I cannot recommend it.
In 1.3 I will however be including a dual solution that has both the original paths
and the one you suggested for all mod content, which may also fix the unusual
script error you faced.
Please go to Documents -> My Games -> Soma
There you will find a "Launcher.log" text document.
It may contain information that will help figure out
what is causing those crashes on your computers.
Visual C++ Runtime error at the beginning.
I have been unable to replicate the issue, so I if I am going to help I will need as much information as possible.
First of all did you test that your modlauncher.exe works with any other mods or is FUGA your first?
In SOMA folder should be a file called hpl.log, upload it or post it here since it may contain information on the crash.
Make sure SOMA is updated, I don't have GOG myself so if they dont do it automatically you must figure out how yourself. also if you have option try to verify your game files.
Quantum1248 mentions a steam_api64.dll causing issues for him. since you are non steam it should not be needed but I am going to try uploading it for you anyway to see if it helps. steam_api64.dll should be located in main soma folder.
Hi,
I tried a base campaign mod (https://www.moddb.com/mods/base-campaign-mod) and it works.
Putting steam_api64.dll.zip on Soma folder does not help, modlauncher still crashes.
The log of the BareBonesMap is complete and detailed.
The hpl log of your game is truncated, due to the crash of the laucher (I suppose).
If you get a chance, try running with an older version of the mod launcher (If the other stuff didn't help, this probably won't either, but maybe you can get a better log out of it.)
Moddb.com
Thanks man, but also the old launcher still crashes, and the log is truncated.
Anyway, I tried to launch the mod via command line without the launcher ("Soma.exe -mod path:\etc...")
So it's Soma.exe that crashes.
But, as I said, with the barebone map, works perfectly.
There's something of wrong on this mod, I think...
I don't know.
What operating system are you using?
Can you elaborate on what you mean by beginning?
Win7 64bit.
When I load your mod with the modlauncher, it crashes immediately.
Same error here. I have Win 7 64bit
I update the game, and now the Modlauncher.exe doesn't start because steam_api64.dll doens't exist in my pc(I bought the game on gog)
If you're still having issues, it might be because of a recent GOG update to the mod launcher since they basically copy/pasted it from the steam version, going back to an older version of the mod manager fixed all issues, so it might help you guys. If anybody wants to try it, uploaded it here: Moddb.com. That being said, the steam_api64.dll replacement worked too, though my friend had no patience for being told "Steam API failed to initialize." on a non-Steam install, :P
Thanks MysterStranger MysterStranger, now with old version of mod manager it works!
