"Do you feel like a hero yet?"
Keep on keeping on, kind sir. Thanks for making and maintaining this great mod. <3
Yep! It did! To clarify, without HDR, it only gets a bit too dark at sunset or night, but it's nothing a little ReShade tweaking can't fix. If people would like to use HDR though, they'd have to disable AA or deal with the sparkly artifacts, since engine-based AA and HDR apparently do NOT play well in any game, especially Warband.
My solution is to turn on HDR, disable Depth Effects, turn off Warband's AA and then either use ReShade's FXAA or force it via your graphics card control panel.
Thanks again, Ruthventwo!
Found a solution: HDR must be set to Low or High. Best to set it to Low in order to avoid sparkling artifacts (not caused by mod, but by M&B). Thanks so much for the mod!
Hi, Ruthventwo! First of all, WOW. Never have I been left speechless by a mod. Second, is it just me or are towns and castles too dark? I'd like to know if its on my end, or if there's a solution. Thank you very much, and best of luck on your mod's development!
Is there a way to fix this without redownloading the hotfix? I've already applied too many tweaks :)
Thanks for the reply! This clears things up.
...however, if someone decided to port the armors into vanilla TLD for personal use, will that be fine, or at least possible? :)
Do you plan to release an "Armor and Weapons only" version? I'd like to see your amazing movie-based armors and weapons on the original TLD. Thanks!
Solved by adding a stick of RAM. The crashes was caused by a lack or memory, NOT the mod. Apologies for any possible inconveniences this may have caused.
Hmm. I seem to be constantly crashing at Bariyye. Nowhere else, just Bariyye. Installation was followed to the tee; the same with what I've done with the other towns. Will look into this, but I'd appreciate some ideas as to what might be the problem :)
So happy this got an update. Keep it up, Bowman! Happy New Year!
I'm experiencing lower than usual view distance along with insane object pop-in. Basically, everything is so foggy. My settings are all maxed, even the view distance. Installation was without any hitches, and aside from the intense fog and object pop-in, I am able to play normally. Am I doing something wrong?
Hey there! Apologies for the ALARMINGLY LATE reply. I've been busy with school along with modding Rimworld and the Total War series, so I haven't been able to check ModDB that often.
Anyways, yes. It does. :)
Again, I apologize for the late reply and I hope you've tried out this fix and found that it has no issues whatsoever.
Havent's seen anything claiming that Epic Games are the new developers. As far as I know, it's still GSC handling everything. I'd welcome being proven wrong, though. Care to share your sources?
And also the Rhodok towns. For the meanwhile, I'll try my hand at scene editing so that someday perhaps I can help you!
Thanks for your work, Bowman! If I may ask, when do you plan to add Bariyye? <3
Definitely yes if you currently play CoC vanilla. No if you enjoy the multitude of mods that are compatible with CoC 1.4.22. The mods for 1.5 are sparse as of now. If you play with a lot of mods as I do, you will notice how different CoC is without them, especially if you've been playing heavily modded for a long period of time. But the features it has over 1.4.22 is amazing, as well. So really, it's all up to you, your willingness to download all those things, and your hard drive/SSD space. I recommend installing 1.5 and keeping 1.4.22.
Wait. Just wait. They are not obligated to give us a release date. You do not want them rushing the update just to meet a date or make one up, miss it, and disappoint us. If you want this mod, wait. We'd all like to see it, mate. But begging and yanking on people's sleeves won't work and doesn't help. :)
If it helps appease your mind, I too am itching to play the new update. :) But if you want to help out in the process without offering anything, simply wait patiently. Or if you happen to be in the zone right now, find a bed to speed up time ;)
There is a Story Mode. It features missions loosely based from SoC, Clear Sky, and CoP. Bear in mind that the story in this mod supposedly takes place around a year (or years) after CoP. Hope that cleared things up. :)
Don't blame the Russian modding community for being very active. I don't see why you'd even complain about this. Download the mods or don't, it's really that simple. Support the mods you find amazing, and give constructive feedback on those you find lacking.
"C:\Games\Call of Chernobyl\Stalker-CoC.exe" -skip_reg -dbg
Just put a space between each and every command. :D
Is your Stand a mind-boggling idiot like you?
Yes, this is a Jojo reference.
No, Call of Chernobyl is not dead.
Complete opposite in my case. All I need is a good processor and my souped-up budget rig will be complete. Good luck on your hunt! As you already know, the Cryptocurrency market hasn't been kind to GPU prices. But good deals are there. I found my 1060ti from a shop that was closing its branch here in my city. They sold it for 75% off. And that was even before the price inflation. Once again, I wish you the best in your vid-card hunt!
This looks really cool! Will try this out whenever I finish upgrading my PC this week. Best of luck to you guys!
I second this. AO bothered me with its...quite wonky animations. I admire their work, but if we were to judge these mods objectively, I'd say STCOP is one of the most polished weapon mods for CoC.
Just make sure to download that mod that fixes the reduced AI accuracy that STCOP introduces.
Hey, fyre. I apologize for the late reply. The Holiday season has been more or less hectic for me. Anyways, just unpack the mod's .rar to the main directory of where you installed the game (the one with the .exe). No need to do anything else. DoctorX's stuff should work (and it does, at least for me and all the others who've installed this patch) since nothing has been removed from his code, only added.
Just make sure that you've installed Immersive Fast Travel and DRX Questlines properly then add the patch after. You should be able to enjoy the best of both worlds this holiday season. Speaking of the holiday season, I hope you have a good one.
Thank for the response, mnemonick. :D
Yep. Try this. It was posted by Nuor in his previous replies. I'll post it here so you won't need to dig in the comments any further.
Oh darn, sorry for spreading misinformation. Also, thanks for that tidbit of knowledge.
From what I've read in the forums, thanks to rushed development or some error along the way, DX11 in Call of Pripyat's engine is lacking in functionalities. For instance, godrays is not visible.
Also, some users report better stability with DX9 overall. The only thing that's functions perfectly in CoP's engine DX11 is the wet surfaces feature.
Oh wait, my mistake. Should have been more specific. I meant that I wanted to change the sounds that the animations in this addon use.
I've figured it out. I extracted the items config from the .db file using Alundaio's tool. From there, I did what you told me to. Thanks so much for this amazing mod and for the assist, Nuor! Have an amazing day ahead!
