You did a really solid work out there. Finally weapons have more power than pellet gun, mercs have various equip, few annoying outposts less... Damn, I didnt even know that women chararacters are also playable.

Only thing I dont like much are those new map markers - as I support idea that our barely literate protagonist would draw something on map, I would rather remake original markers as hand drawn.

Anyway, I wish you good luck with preventing militia to non-stop spawn on outpost, thats probably the only major issue that mortal modder could fix here.

Just to inform you the Carl Gustav seems to be broken. When aiming it the missles often seem to fly at slower than walking speed. Makes the NPC's rather ineffective, if hilarious. Sighting out after firing seems to fix it, or firing from the hip.

Otherwise id say it works as intended, good deal. Oh, but the Quadbike patrols are a bit iffy. They instantly get off the bike at times and spawn standing on top of it. But thats not too bad.

I can't replicate the CG issue. Can you share a video if this continues to happen to you?

If they're getting off the ATV, it's usually to pursue an enemy, which is intentional. I've never seen them spawn on top. Where is that happening, and do you have a screenshot or save file for the issue?

Are you using the multi-fixer to launch the game, and is the frame cap enabled?

Ah, must have just been something off with my game then. I wouldn't worry about it.

While I love a lot of what this mod does I switched back to the ole Dylans Realism Mod or whatever for the damage edits. Just wish the AI wasn't omniscient.

Either way thanks a ton for your work boss, keep it up. Also kudos for still supporting your mod at all given how old and relatively unpopular FC2 is in the mainstream.

Which damage edits? Redux ups the damage of most weapons. Is there something specific that Dylan's does better?

Oh? I saw you rebalanced the weapons to be a bit more fitting, namely with reliability, but I actually didnt realize you had edited damage.

Overall it does make the combat feel a bit less clunky I suppose. Far Cry has... passable combat, but I find it funner if NPCs go down quick. To compare, in Dylan's mod NPCs go down in about 3 shots of anything, while with you edits it feels more like vanilla, closer to 5 to 8 id say depending on the weapon. For instance it takes about an entire Makarov magazine to down someone reliably.

Its not a problem, just a matter of personal taste really. Id honestly say after comparing the two that your mod is far more enjoyable. His is a good step, but outdated. You still run into truck patrols every couple of minutes of travel, NPC's can nearly instantly kill you at will, especially late game due to the buffed weapons, etc. Seems he just buffed the damage to most weapons, making high rate of fire weapons like the FAL absurdly hard to survive.

Honestly I think you have the right balance with your mod. The rest of it is issues with the AI. Say they are typically firing at you before you can even get around a corner, shooting you through vision blocking objects like walls and heavy foliage and I catch them quite often shooting me while facing another direction entirely.

If I could suggest one thing I would say vehicles could be faster. Make all the traveling less time consuming, and make actually traveling rather than relying so heavily on the bus system more fun.

I cant find one outpost in pala. Redux mod remove some outposts or change locations?

I have a strange problem. Phone calls have no sound, but this doesn't happen when playing as Marty, just other characters. This wasn't happening on vanilla.

This is a vanilla FC2 bug. Happens randomly to different users.

The common suggestions are:

1. Make sure you've capped the frame rate (60 default with the MF Launcher included with Redux)

2. Run DX9 ONLY. DX10 is too buggy.

I have only encountered this issue once in 10 years of FC2, but others get it regularly.
