CBA, don't care and blergh. People shouldn't need the hall of fame of reckognition to get work and motivation, rather that they are creating and awesome product. I might play a mod, I might acually rate it if I can be bothered. That "download" stat should be far more worth than a "vote" from alot of people who also makes comments about it.
Download stats can be easily rigged. That said MOTY is rigged from one end to the other with lemming-voting and cheating the system that there is no use in voting anyways since the result is already governed by who does more lemming-voting or cheating. If it would be really representative or valid voting then yes I would vote but with the broken system the MOTY has since a long time there's just no sense in even trying to vote. it's totally useless.
What is 'lemming-voting'? I can't help seeing bunch of lemmings invading the webpage and spamming the vote button :P (I assume it means something similar?)
It's multiple things but in general, yes. It's collecting votes from either people hired to vote-spam or tricking people into voting by hiding the voting URL under innocent page links or even using tracker-pixels style tricks to make people vote without them noticing it. The entire voting is a huge joke this way.

Not going to vote because there are too many mods on this website which utilize content which is clearly stolen from other games, and nothing is done about it.

Voted for games, but not yet mods. Not actually played any mod for awhile, or followed any with updates newer than 5 months. Probably will be only games this year, but we'll see...
Not voting this year. I usually don't care about the sponsors, but EA don't support modding their games, however want to fund a mod of the year content. PR stunt.
