Aftermath is a hl2 mod which involves the player killing waves of the undead with your friends or alone using weapons, your knife or even blow them up with grenades and set them alight with Molotov's.
Aftermath is point based and requires you to buy weapons and doors with points gained from killing zombies, new features include barriers which allow you to slow down zombies by blocking their path, zombie dismemberment, many fixes and more maps.
Current maps: Harbor, Quarantine, Napalm, Condemned, Containerville
Coming soon: Dead End and voted by you ( Lighthouse map )

Desura Problems - Desura has problems with aftermath because the settings need to be edited, the edit can only be done by an admin which when i contact, ignore me.
How do i install it? - Drag the "aftermath" folder from the zip to steam/steamapps/sourcemods a installer will be out soon.
I get a MountFilesystem error! - There are many fixes which are best explained here: Click
I get a different steam error! - Check that source base 2006 and 2007 are validated and possibly hl2:mp.

I've been a bit busy recently with my college work and a load of coding as always but not on the mod... on something else :P.
So ting how come there's been no updates! ( apart from college ), well ive been doing some modelling.. me and the team ( like 1 other guy ) has a nice idea which will add some nice features into the mod which requires some modelling so ive been doing that, i also went and made some more models for the team to add into maps like small physics models and ive been optimizing some free models aswell.
To Do:
Workbench ( Weapon building, tweaking and scavenging system ) ( Finished )
New Menu ( Finished, new scheme )
Pickups removal and replacement ( In progress : 70% )
New maps ( In progress )
Dismemberment model and texture fixes ( Finished )
Bloody sound replacements already
Fixes ( Stopped old navigation system from starting, removed death notice and replaced with chat death message, fixed weapon swapping to weapons without ammo )
Better stats ( Achievements and end of round stats ) ( Achievements fixed )
New zombie animations ( jumping over barriers, better walking, removal of classic anims as its breaking the zombies )
Fix defender
Get textures for combo and powerups ( Finished )
Add incendiary bullets

Dieger wants weapons but i doubt i can get them, ive asked someone to see if he can get some credited weapon models but i don't want to promise something that might not happen.

I completely recoded and added some features to the v1 so it should all be fixed know, i think badtouch ( server owner ) will download from here once...

I love this game lots, and I'm pretty sure you (The dev) have already thought of this but would you mind switching the fast zombies to the normal slow-ish zombies cuz its pretty hard to get to later waves. Could make the sprint less to compensate or make the character weaker. Also I can't find the pack-a-punch, if its in the game, rotfl.

we have had no donations for servers and when a team member said he wants to supply one we had no luck we've been looking and i have even posted a comment below about servers to see if anyone can help.
I have not played this mod in a year but I might just try out the new download
Were happy to have ProJacol the creator of Havoc and DieHard join the team as our mapper :D

So we've been wanting to get a server and metaloid gave us the chance but after hours of searching and contacting server hosters we found that our mod could easily be installed but because of the recent update to hl2:dm (steampipe) most or all servers have upgraded with it so the mod will not work on them.
So the only way is for me or someone else to host of there own server or pc this is an obvious problem since my computer is not very good and i would love to host but it wouldnt be 24/7 and it wouldnt have a good connection ( anyone outside of england will probably lag ) it is also not good enough to host multiple servers or handle a full server.
If anyone knows of someone who can help then please send them this way or even if you know of a hoster who can handle hlds dedicated servers instead of the new steamcmd servers.
Can we get an estimate as to when 0.3 is gonna be released? Also, did you put the m4 defender back into the game?
i did but the fire anim is broken well it looks crap for a LMG so ima have to fix it.
0.3 should be released in june but until then ive got things to do:
finish powerups and combo
new zombie anims( jumping over barriers, better walking, removal of classic anims as its breaking the zombies )
fix defender

add incendiary bullets
theres the obvious things such as maps and fixing up moddb and new sounds
if anyone is worried about the new hl2:dm upgrade to steampipe it should not affect the mod as it doesn't need any hl2:dm resources so it shouldn't be trying to access hl2:dm gcfs.
I tested myself and deleted all my gcfs and re-downloaded source engine 2007 and the mod works fine.
he is and so was i for a small time.
