Faster than most bombers, and only out done by the SLAM engines of the K-Wing and the Tie-Wing Torpedo Bomber, the Scimitar had the fastest cruising speed of all other bombers flown in the galaxy. Scimitar also featured 2 forward fixed heavy imperial lasers which dealt significantly more damage than the standard TIE's chin lasers. The Scimitar's ventral bomb deployment system allowed for heavy bombing runs and for a heavy light concussion missile strike firing light concussion missiles, a truly devastating attack which could cripple even larger targets such as cruisers.

Loving the shine on that cockpit which made me notice: Do all Ties have the cockpit with the hard edges in the panels or is it just this? As in others connect seamlessly and perfectly circular.
Good observation, this was overlooked on previous ties, but we can correct it to give the angled panel reflect
Ah... the scimitar. So powerful. And yet, I hate it more than almost any other ship in the galaxy because it is sooo ugly! Also, I never understood how less panels = more speed and firepower...
It is the ultimate insult an imperial can pay to his enemies... the damage is horrifying... but the ship itself is even more horrifying!
However, what I say above concerns the ship design, rather than the render. The render is fantastic. Keep up the good work guys! ;)
