Have you made it so that you build more than 2 structures per planet ?? But as per usual awesome stuff :)

IF I recall correctly mods like phoenix rising already allowed this.

they do, as does TR, but you can't see past the first two

You could always build more than two structures per planet, if a mod edited the right files.
But now you can actually see those structures.

Nobody's found the obvious hidden feature preview yet...
Just noticed the screenshot's spoiling it. Oops.

Luckily the hidden hidden feature preview is quite hard to notice...

I really should pay more attention to the screenshots I'm uploading.

1. Glitched model: The space station 3D model from the vanilla game doesn't like the planet being resized.

2. Missing text: That's the detailed ground view from vanilla, just no text.

3. Debug message: Technically, that's a third hidden feature, although I doubt many people care about a debug system.

So in short: No, no and no.

Debug features? I didn't know EAW had debug features, did yall make them or?

The game was built with debug features disabled.
So yes, that's an in-house solution. It's not the most elegant, nor is it particularly easy to use, but it gets the job done.

Exactly that: A planetary shield.
Wouldn't it be cool if it wasn't part of the planet model?

Judging by the time stamps on the posts, we indeed have a winner here. Although it's only a partial victory. But admittedly the hidden hidden feature is hard to find ... because technically the feature is not present in the screenshot, but rather something missing.

Theres no planet veiw thing where you set up where you ground troops and structures go.

Description

A while ago we showed off a lucky find in the game code.
Now we are using that to work around certain limitations in the vanilla GUI.
Instead of the two GUI elements showing orbital structures, we'll be using 3D models to display orbital structures and similar objects.

This of course means that you'll be loosing the ability to hover over the GUI elements to see what an orbital structure does, but fear not, we'll add another GUI element (a button) that allows you to display detailed information about the planet and built objects.
