Greetings, low-born orcs! After a long time in limbo, the ported version of Vikingr is finally here: New players can now enjoy Vikingr and we are no longer dependant upon WSE functions. All community efforts have been integrated into this version, and by popular demand, the old taunts have been reintroduced.

Vikingr Community Release - Full Version


INITIAL RELEASE

- Vikingr ported to post-VC Warband by Slawomir.

- Updated Banner Pack and Old East Slavic Fix integrated.

- Old taunts reintroduced.

Note: Friendly horse-bumps no longer work, and you can't use special characters in-game due to new Warband restrictions (will tell you that you're banned on servers).

People who were previously unable to join due to issues with new CD-keys can now finally play Vikingr!

So this mod looks amazing. I installed it. It wanted to make a folder for itself instead of going into my mount and blade modules folder like the other M&B mods. Okay. But it's not working. It's telling me I don't have M&B Warband because it's not going through steam. When it opens on its own I get the free trial version of M&B, which won't let me go onto multiplayer. I was really looking forward to playing this. Please help.

Do you even own Warband?
In any case, it needs to be installed in and launched from a completely separate directory. Only users with the old form of M&B:WB CD keys (older than two years or so) can join multiplayer games because of scripts and the WSE you need to launch the game from.

Being a longstanding MM player, pretty much since when they started the mod, i must admit i'm a bit dissapointed by Vincenzo and Lord_Olafson's reactions on this page. I renember MM's less glorious times, the ones i cherish the most, where Lcatt, Dante, Atkivir, Dale and a few other players still played the mod while it had all but died down, on some evenings where there were more then 20 players online it really was -ALOT- for us and we were all happy. Then came MM Waterloo, and all of the sudden…

I totally agree with what Vincenzo said, the mod is totally buggy, I remeber alot of rigging bugs as well as missing AI meshes. When I destroyed a house, the house model didnt change (wtf!) it was still the same, I couldnt see any difference between the destroyed and the not destroyed model. Second time I destroyed a house, I was kicked over the whole map, and I died when I hit the ground.... Also the bots which spawn when a house is destroyed are annoying, most of the maps dont have a AI mesh…
