Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) is a stand-alone mod that combines Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95) and Red Alert. While classic mode gets as close to the original game-play and balance as possible, Enhanced mode provides improved game balance and a lot of fun new stuff. DTA features many customization options for Skirmish and multiplayer (where you can play as GDI, Nod, Allies and Soviet on over 200 maps), challenging original singleplayer missions, as well as co-op missions. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required.
The Dawn of the Tiberium Age is the first Tiberian Sun mod to implement CnCNet 5 and beat Yuri's Revenge in the amount of customizable multiplayer options!
In DTA 1.12, you will be able to customize the starting locations, colors, sides, and teams of all human and AI players. You can even ally with AI players if you want to do so!
Wot! This is fantastic
So now we can finally create our own battlegroup teams without the AI overpowering us in terms of manpower?
The AI never overpowered you in DTA 1.11 in terms of manpower; the AIs aren't allied with eachother in DTA 1.11 unless you're playing Comp Stomp, in which case you can freely set the amount of AI players you're playing against. Normal skirmish in DTA 1.11 is pure FFA.
But yes, you can form your own teams now. Teams have no limitations; they can contain only humans, only AIs or both humans and AIs.
As for the AI itself, Easy and Medium AIs in 1.12 will be easier than in 1.11, but the Hard AI will be even harder than before.
One question more: do you ever tried to compare DTA to Chess a little?
Compare it to Rock-Peper-Scissors or battleships instead.
I'm not sure why you feel the need to compare it to something like that though =P
Is this now installed or do we have to wait before its ready yet?
You'll have to wait for DTA 1.12's release. It'll be soon though ;)
AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ยก!!!!!!!
START LOCATIONS!!!!!!
That and Teams are the only new things, I think. I think colors were available in MP, right? Idk, I never played MP that much. xD
You could define your own color but not the colors of AI players. It being possible to define the difficulty of each individual AI player is also new; previously you could only define a global AI level.
Ah. Okay. xD
