Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) is a stand-alone mod that combines Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95) and Red Alert. While classic mode gets as close to the original game-play and balance as possible, Enhanced mode provides improved game balance and a lot of fun new stuff. DTA features many customization options for Skirmish and multiplayer (where you can play as GDI, Nod, Allies and Soviet on over 200 maps), challenging original singleplayer missions, as well as co-op missions. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required.
A new multiplayer map by me. It will be included in DTA 1.15, which will be released in just 4 days.
As a 1v1 or 2v2 map this would more fit people who like to macro, but I feel like this is also better executed in general than the 4 player version. There is more space to build in to weaken super weapons, plenty of more places to expand, and because the map is much bigger the center blue tiberium fields will be much easier to defend where with the 4 player map the blue field probably wouldn't be taken because of how easy it would be to siege it.
The one disadvantage is some of the rush distances are very long, weakening All-Ins, early aggression, and rewarding greedy and turtling play.
If there was a 6 player version, I think that would be as perfect as it could be.
Subterranean Turtles Extended
As an 8-player map it's actually very aggressive, because you have to fight for the gems and the blue tiberium fields (the 1 green field in each starting location doesn't provide enough income for long unless you also harvest something else in addition).
If I create a map for 8 players, then I design it to be mostly played with 8 players, so I don't really consider it important how the map works for 1v1 or 2v2 etc.
As an 8 player map, yeah. But I'm looking at it from a 1v1/2v2 (Or even 3v3) perspective since that's my preferred way to play the game.
Man im gonna love this map imagine all the 4/4 on the map.
