That is one gorgeous model.

I've always been curious whether there's other Ferengi ships? Or do they solely use the Marauder?

In the show we only ever see the Marauder and small, personal shuttles used by smaller merchants.

If you point the Marauder the other way it's like a Hideki class on steroids.

Conspiracy Theory the Cardassians are an offshoot of the Ferengi species, that would explain their generally similar ship designs

"The Ferengi were also instrumental in implementing a common currency in the form of gold pressed latinum - units of a highly prized fluid (that cannot be replicated) suspended within gold pieces of varying size - the greater the size, the greater the value."

Someone never gave the Ferengi an anthropology or history text so they could learn what money actually is.

"Combined with their inherent cunning and almost irrational lust for wealth, it is not wise to underestimate (or turn your back on) the Ferengi."

Wrong species, you never turn your back to a breen, technically that saying works for both but mainly the breen in my opinion ;)

Description

The Ferengi are a humanoid race known for two things - their ears, and their commercial prowess. Indeed, the Ferengi are to commerce what the Klingons are to war - their merchant traditions permeate most of their society, and each Ferengi is raised to believe in the capitalist ideals of free trade, exploitative cost-cutting, and maximising profits through whatever means necessary, legal or otherwise. These ideals are embodied in the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition, a set of 285 rules that form the foundation of the Ferengi business acumen, fostering the ruthlessness and greed that are seen as virtues in Ferengi society. The acquisition of wealth is the driving force of most Ferengi culture and behaviour.

The Ferengi have become an integral part of the interstellar economy - every major entrepreneur of every major power will at some point deal with the Ferengi. The Ferengi were also instrumental in implementing a common currency in the form of gold pressed latinum - units of a highly prized fluid (that cannot be replicated) suspended within gold pieces of varying size - the greater the size, the greater the value.

The bravest Ferengi (which isn't saying much, to be frank) crew the Ferengi Alliance's fleet of D'kora Marauders. These advanced ships are all privately owned, meaning that each crew member is in fact an employee of its captain (or Daimon, in the Ferengi parlance), who acts as a privateers under contract to the Ferengi government. These Ferengi privateers are often little more than pirates, and are not above attacking defenceless cargo ships for greater loot, or even committing acts of petty theft to raise their bottom line.

Despite the somewhat...nefarious nature of these Ferengi starships, they are well equipped with powerful shields, resilient armour and potent weaponry. Combined with their inherent cunning and almost irrational lust for wealth, it is not wise to underestimate (or turn your back on) the Ferengi.
