The artifact hunter is alot like the mutant hunter when it comes to the great amount of required patientience and biology understanding.
Both must be constantly aware of their surroundings and analyze every detail if they want to survive. Their approach to this job is way different but knowing how to read your chemical hazzard meter is equally important as knowing your mutant cries.
Where the mutant hunter invests in alternative weaponry, scopes and ammunition, the artifact hunter must pay even larger sums for suits and electronic equipment. But he also has a higher chance of striking gold.
Stalkers talk about the four setups for Artifact Hunting:
- "Amateur"
- "Budget"
- "Professional"
- "Advanced"

Please refer to this display as a sort of guide or manual whenever you wish to go dig for gold in Chernobyl in MISERY 2.0.
Trojanuch did loads of tweaks to the whole system so it is worth going back to this display once you have entered the Zone in MISERY 2.0.

Great work misery team! (As always...) I do have one question however and I am gonna shout it. HOLY HELL! IS THAT A RUSSIAN PKM GAS MASK I SEE IN THE BUDGET SUIT CATEGORY???
If so, then will it be in game or is it just for nice look in the picture? I really want to wear it if it is in game. Please say yes... O.o

Dammit now I look like an complete idiot. There my english gets me into trouble yet again. Yes it is indeed a PMK Russian Gas mask. Sorry, got a little mixed up in the spelling. So the PMK gas mask is in, misery. Praise GOD! (Yes I am Russian Orthodox) Also did you know that the Gas mask PMK has a drinking system?

Maybe if in possession of Svarog detector, then there would be a suit integration which would display anomalies and artifacts on the HUD itself.

Cool idea but too sci-fi for me
Meh, both visors from either game look 99% similar but I think it is originated from SWRC, because as you look, you can see the rim that is under the glass/plastic part of the visor just like in RC. Just google the inside of a republic commando helmet ingame and compare this one and the one from the other game and they both look very similar but one has alot more hardware.
man this mod just gets me more and more excited.
I can see how satisfied I will be when I'll get better and better stuff...

Two things, though. The PMK gas mask using a photograph for its icon looks a bit weird. Maybe make it a little less shiny. What model is it going to use in game?
Secondly, have you considered getting a proofreader to give these things a once-over before you post them?
The PMK icon will be updated with another and better one.
We haven't got a third person mesh model for it so it uses the vanilla mesh/model.
What do you mean by a proofreader? For text and typo purposes?

Excellent work guys! There seems to be an absolute ton of extra stuff.
Sorry if this has been answered already, has there been any major changes to the economics of artifacts hunting? And any changes to artifact occurance period (how often they appear, or different etc)?

Of course - please assume that there is not a single, significant, gameplay-related config value in entire data that has been left unchanged or random.
This of course includes everything related to economy generally and to economy of artifact hunting specifically. Even weights of every single artifact have been tweaked (and greatly diversified) as generally economy and stamina are tied together very closely.
Also please note that since now NPCs gather artifacts too - stuff like sci-squads spawn frequency and survival chances is also an important factor for this aspect.
So please consider that behind every element of above screen (incl. stuff like 'psy creature hunting chances' or 'economical efficiency' or even colors marking anomaly exploration possibilities) there is a quite significant ammount of testing and fine-tuning involved and none of it is there by accident or for purely 'show-off' reasons - this is all gameplay-usable data.

Similar guides could be 'constructed' for 'vs. NPC' and 'vs. mutant' combat builds and you can expect similar level of depth and progression in these regards.
Umm... What's the fan-looking icon to the right of the brain (I'm guessing its for psy) and above the flame (ditto for heat resistance) Awesome art by the way. Congrats.
The fan-looking icon resembles gravity anomalies (compressed air that messes with physics).
The brain icon is for psy-anomalies as you mention. - and thanks!

This looks great. Have you guys implemented an option that will alloy us to choose how much we want to repair our suits, like what you did for weapon restoration?
We didn't do such a thing for weapons. The logarythmic repair system rewards people for keeping their equipment well maintained. Or actually I should say that the system punishes the player that lets his weapon fall apart before he delivers it to a mechanic for repair. In those cases you are better off buying a new weapon instead.
