Weapon Upgrade Fix Thread - MISERY mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

Since I don't know when Stiivais will change my fixes to work with his rifle buff, I'm posting it now.
It fixes/changes upgrade tree for weapons that doesn't have modern/custom version or there is a problem with ''modern'' variation of the gun.
This fix/tweak unlocks upgrades for these weapons of course in logical manner, I guess.

Stiivais want to buff it a bit in terms of damage so you can either wait for his version or get this in meantime,

Hey guys, is there any other link to download this? I'm using firefox and that site tells me i have to "click allow" to download files, but nothing is asking me to allow or not.

1. Have you got firefox set to ask you where to download files, or to auto download them to a location?
2. Does it say 100% download complete?

If firefox is set to auto download to a location then you will find it there

If all else fails get google chrome and download it using that. Mega.co.nz is a bit finnicky but will definitely work with chrome

Yeah, I have it set to just download to desktop, and it does say 100%, but i aint' got anything.

Do as Yastiandrie said, get Google Chrome.
I'm using Firefox and works perectly fine, I think that's a security settings in Firefox, lower them for a second and see if that fix your problem.

It is a known bug with firefox, but there is a add-on to make it work.

careful - weapon fixes pre-2.0.2 (edit: not 100% certain on the timing of upload) caused fatal errors as soon as I got to Yanov. Somehow, these crashes continued to happen after I restored the weapon fix files to their original backed-up versions. The solution turned out to be reinstallation of both 2.0.2 patch and quickfix.

I will check what is wrong with it and post new version as soon as I finish my work today.

My best bet is that you didn't start new game when you are applied weapon fix.
If you or NPC nearby have in your inventory upgraded weapon when you are saved game before applied fix and after you reload the game with fix applied the game CTD when you aproach your private box or come near problematic NPCs.

There is slim chance to workaround with this, check Vancer2's thread here: Moddb.com

If you want to use nokte's or Vancer's fix, or any other tweak that alter weapon upgrade tree, it is recommanded that you start new game.

Well I could create version without installed upgrades if Stephen wants.

I did checked the files, everything works. if you can go to your log, scroll down and post an error I could help.
Log folder should be located in stalker call of pripyat/appdata/logs

I informed Vancer about errors that his fix cause with 2.0.2
He will probably take a look at them today.
