Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
In today's little update, we want to show you some more model and texture revisions. This time, you'll get a look at the new Russian Airfield, the Mi-40 Hunchback and the Mi-26 Halo transport helicopter.
Looks... so sleek.
agreed
Well, to be honest, it's big, not fat.
At least, not very.
it will be garrisoneable right?
Well, you can't really do much else with it, right?
Assuming it will actually be a buildable unit, anyway.
it will be a generals power chopper
Probably by General Orlov
This is a purely visual update to the chopper that is currently used for the Conscript Drop general power, not a buildable unit.
Just saying, it also has a chance to appear when delivering tanks for Reinforcement pad. I once captured couple and seen both Il-76 and Mi-26 dropping Kodiaks.
Could you make a version that can be controled and that can transport several units that is available in the World Builder? In case people want to make customized missions and stuff
yeahhhhh
"Yes, general, all men for the ground fight!"
dr thrax would surely have loved these things since these spew out sooo many helpless conscripts...
I'm still waiting that this chopper will become buildable, not just an episodic unit for general power. Chinooks can transport tanks, while Halo is able to transport chinooks!
I don't think a Chinook can actually lift a tank.
An M113, yes but that thing weighs far less, assuming you meant real life.
But Mi-26 is indeed capable of lifting Chinooks.
I heard it once lifted a passenger plane that way, IDK if it's true.
Yes and there a pictures of it. Probably several different occasions but the one I found with a quick search was a Tu-154 without most of its wings and all three engines detached.
still a considerable load.
Damnit! Why doesn't anyone try mounting guns on this thing! The amount of firepower and armour they can pile into this thing must be substantial! Never mind unrealistic!
