Awesome! Was thinking if you would use the floating cities for the space map too.

That shield. 😱 Empire starts on ground I guess because nothing is sacred to them. 😜 Would be a cool strategic addition: Empire can pass the terrain on Ithor because they don't care and the New Republic gets negative effects on movement because they don't like to. 🤔

Unfortunately you can't have two maps for the same planet but it would be a cool idea :)

All base shields will look like this...that's the power of new shaders ;)

Vaguely remember being able to put a comma and a second map link on the GC Planet back in the day. Maybe only worked for original eaw before the base management became a thing?

Yep but as you said, it was broken when they added the army management screen.

Did you use a modified version of the Bespin land map to create this or did you make it and just looks like it?

I only ask because I recently created a Ithor land map and it's a modified Bespin land map. Thought it funny if we both had a similar idea.

I had to make a new Tibanna platform for Kril'dor. I may or may not have recycled that for this map....with some heavy edits.

Like I said when I posted that map though...a floating city is a floating city. They will have some variation but their function is all the same, so in the end, they will look mostly alike. After all, every airplane must have two wings, at least one vertical stabilizer and a pair of horizontal stabilizers. Some planes have multiple vertical stabilizers, canards, two or three sets of wings in the front...props vs jets...etc. But the basic overal shape must meet the required function, so it's mostly the same.

Not yet! It's only 23 ABY in my mod. The difference two years can make...

Burntstrobe knows more about those masochistic invaders than I do though. Poor Ithor in /his/ mod :(

Description

To the Ithorians, the lush and green surface of their homeworld is a sacred refuge for life. So sacred, in fact, that nobody is allowed onto the surface unless they intend to stay permanently. With great reverence, the Ithorians repaired the surface and allowed the evidence of their more primitive civilizations to be reclaimed by nature. With more advanced technology, they build great floating cities which hover above the surface, where they can continue to live modern lives without the need to scar the surface of the planet they love. In these cities, the highly agrarian Ithorians continue to cultivate life in many forms and their love of nature is reflected in the diverse and protected biomes that can be found across the surfaces of their floating havens. Even the ground of these artificial constructs is often comprised of soils, rather than metal or concrete.
