In many shows there the use of Cloak
while its useful if used by a person in some cases used by a ship isnt.
1-heat - its still possible to track, then you say that the ship is capable of keeping the heat in the ship with cooler systems, well its only useful for an amount of time, after that it will have to "recharge".

2-energy requirements - im not an expert but im pretty sure are high so cloak can be used by only a determined time in, while there are cloaks that are used without energy; big, fast moving ships probably would/will.

3-gravity- the third and most daring problem, the ship will still has its gravity witch in higher tech shows (like Star Wars) would be fatal for a cloaked ship, if you used a cloak like trek's that make you untouchable wouldnt matter as gravity is a force that "walks" trough dimensions so not only it would make you able to track but tractor beans could be able to hold and destroy the ship.

now if used by a person in a planet that could avoid heat emissions it would make it really hard to detect even to the higher tech shows.

it was decided that it would be on hold and a beta would be realised as a final realse but so far i havent heard from the other guys in quite some time
