Alright that's a really ******* cool idea. Gas giant fauna is one of my favorite and underutilized sci fi tropes.

Makes me wonder if those island beasts or at least one of the other atmospheric creatures of Taloraan are offshoots of the beldons which would explains the presence of tibanna there.

Distant cousins maybe but not much is known about the Beldons, tbh.

The tendrils below do have a very simple animation, so they seem more alive. They don't actually move around though. They are too large and would collide with the map

i thought more some kind of space-map-layout ... like, have a space battles over bespin and you'll see the planet turning. having the beast move around would probatly fry the engine, GPU and CPU (due to rerendering, in that order)

Description

In space, this gas giant is something to behold with its magnificent rings. In atmosphere, mammoth "Island Beasts" lumber through the sky, large enough that pirates or smugglers often use them as outposts...or as hidden bases (Island Beasts have a large, hollow interior with an opening large enough to admit most starfighters).

Fight atop one of these mysterious giants for control of valuable Tibanna gas.
