A conversion for 'Empire at War: Forces of Corruption', Return of the Clones is based on a what-if senario - what if parts of the old Republic had survived Order 66, leading to a civil war not between the Empire and Rebellion, but between the Empire and Republic. In order to make things a little more realistic, the Zann Consortium is also now equipped with old, abandoned Confederacy equipment.

Hi all,

Okay no this isn't an installer, though that will be something I'll look at, simply instructions on how to get RotC to work on Steam.

1. Copy the 'Mods/RotC' folder to your EaW/FoC steam directory, ending in '"\Steam\steamApps\common\Star Wars Empire at War\corruption". There should now be four folders - Data, MSS32, Recordings, and Mods. If this isn't accurate, you've pasted the folder in the wrong place.

2. Open Steam, find your EaW/FoC copy.
- Right-click on 'Empire at War: Gold Edition'
- click on 'Properties'
- click on 'Set Launch Options'
- paste this into the field: swfoc MODPATH=Mods\RotC

Now whenever you play FoC on Steam, RotC will start. Yes this is somewhat of an annoying process, and yes it would be great if another method existed. It is more difficult than with the retail version but as far as I'm aware this is the best available at present.

So basicly the rebels have won and then form the new republic, but then the clones meet captian rex commander wolffe and gregor whom they get trained by. A few years after they die (due to 2x age) the clones were sent to be heavily trained to become slightly superior to a regular ARC trooper during the galactic republic era and they were trained by all the new jedi at the time and republic veterans. Eventually they passed normal standerds. But the war has destroyed 99% of the rebel clone troopers and kamino was a dead planet because of the imperial bombings. Luke makes the order to build a cloning facility to clone more soldiers. But they decide they get different clone templates get used for each speciality if the clone template is better at the job then normal(the jengo fett clones were still very common in all the specialitys due to them being clones of the "Mandalore"). The kaminoans also develop a phase 3 armour which includes state of the art tech. After the cloning attempts made atleast 2bil clone troopers, the original rebels started to teach them the things they learned thru expecrience and training by the original clone troopers.(btw the 1% that survived became captians/commanders which were very elite and embraced their mandaloran culture) The clones first fight at planet hoth and they quickly overpower the "First Order" and are then combated by droids that are far better then all the ones the sith empires made combined which was a challenge for the clones especially when they were outnumbered 5 to 1. And so the battle rages on... Can thou make that?

That would be an alright idea, if everything you just said was what happened. Rex, Gregor and Wolffe, as with all clones, have a slowed (Or natural) lifespan after their accelerated growth stage is over.

Clones wouldnt require jedi training from the new order jedi's as they arent force sensitive. Also, if all clones you speak of (All 2 billion of them, despite the fact that the clone army couldnt reach 1 billion) reach the height of an ARC trooper standard, you're talking about an army so massive in scope and so highly trained it could wipe out the Old Republic, Empire, Rebels and Yuuzhan Vong with their respective powers combined.

Kamino is not a dead planet, after the Great Jedi Purge, Palpatine still employed the Kaminoins to create Jango clones, however after a rebellion (The Kaminoins rejected the Empire and created 'anti-clones') Palpatine simply created more cloning facilities across the galaxy, and also opened up recruiting to non-clones.

Jango Fett clones are simply clones that have the same mental capacity as Jango Fett, nothing about them are actually Mandalorian. Also, they are not clones of Mandalore. Boba Fett is Mandalore. And Boba Fett is in no way similar to a traditional clone.

Following your idea that 99% of the Jango Clones were wiped out, the 1% left, if they embraced their Mandalorian culture which really doesnt even exist, would have to be accepted by Mandalorians, which is unlikely, because BOBA.

Just wanted to break down everything you said, thats all.
Your idea is sound, but try assembling it either with cannon or in a way that is plausible.

go to steam library, then propreties of star wars, klick on set launch option and write in it MODPATH=Mods/(here comes name of the mod folder ) after just launch the game like you usually do

Depends on how you define 'alive'. I've had thoughts about a v5.3 and recently tried a re-built version of the mod, but it's not performing the way I want it to, very unstable.

This is a very cool mod
It definitely deserves a nine. It is great if you are looking to play as the republic. It has a lot of changes in the rebellion and many of the rebellion heroes are now republic heroes. Although this mod doesnt have the CIS, it still keeps the other three Factions from FOC.
Overall really fun game if you are looking to play as the Republic!
