A conversion for 'Empire at War: Forces of Corruption', Return of the Clones is based on a what-if senario - what if parts of the old Republic had survived Order 66, leading to a civil war not between the Empire and Rebellion, but between the Empire and Republic. In order to make things a little more realistic, the Zann Consortium is also now equipped with old, abandoned Confederacy equipment.

Hi folks,

I haven't been here for a long, long time but have recently gotten back into EaW/FoC modding. I'm considering doing a RotC v5.3 and require community help. Yes I know RaW is out, I don't care.

I've fixed a few bugs from RotC v5.2, but if anyone has had any bugs from v5.2, please let me know so I can fix them for the proposed v5.3.

managed to capture ryloth with out even fighting as they retreated and well they um retreated to hyproi or whatever it is and they stole my tatic of having three captial ships in a fleet and well it ended up with me retreating so i need something that can defeat them easily so any ideas

5 venators or have lots of backup :) works everytime for me! well i have a hugely powerful fleet which flyies around obliterating everything then it stays in orbit, I send in a huge invasion force, kill them all build light defences and replenish what I lost and continue on:) works suprisingly well!

if anyone wants to defend against a trade federation ship you need a lot of fighters and some frigites and captials ships and also if your republic or rebels(if they have it) use the ion cannon as it helped me defend mandalor as they kept on attacking it trying to get it back

The rebel AI is totally brain-dead, i only got it to work by changing the BASIC_AI line in Expansion_Factions.XML from BasicRebellion to BasicRebel.

its probably because they have a bug or are glitched somehow because i had the empire and rebels in a skirmish against me and the rebels just stood there till i attacked but the empire attacked me and were moving

This is a very cool mod
It definitely deserves a nine. It is great if you are looking to play as the republic. It has a lot of changes in the rebellion and many of the rebellion heroes are now republic heroes. Although this mod doesnt have the CIS, it still keeps the other three Factions from FOC.
Overall really fun game if you are looking to play as the Republic!
