Will GOOP affect turret turn rates? | Locked | |

By this I mean the rate at which tank turrets turn. I'm just curious about this after thinking of using ARVs as support for flanking Multigunners. Edited by: Galgus |

I hope so. |

Doubt it is possible. |

Does the same thing apply for the plank compressor? |
||

By the way the Planck compressor and ARV seem very similar considering that the ARV is tier one and the compresser is tier x. Will they slow units to a different degree? -- blah |

Interesting point, but Tier X's are supposed to be alternatives to normal units, and I think this one sort of evolved that way accidently. They both have different secondaries, but they CAN be used for the same reason. -- |

From memory; I think Sketch said he wanted GOOP to splash everywhere, linger on the ground, stack to a degree and just generally be painful. The Planck Compressor is single target. -- Yours faithfully, That guy who does hammy stuff on a regular basis. |

The Plank has the other function as well, though. |

And I think that Goop won't affect ROF as much as the plank compressor. |
||
Mar 11 2011 Anchor | ||
I wasn't aware that it would affect ROF at all. |
||
Mar 11 2011 Anchor | ||
Which one, goop or plank? Just by physical logic of what goop is, it seems like it won't affect ROF that much, I am not completely sure though. |
||

Goop. |

GOOP does effect ROF, but much less than movement. It's hard to fire when your scope gets filled up with pink foam, after all. It also suppresses and lingers after the fact. The Planck Compressor, however, is a great deal more effective; units hit by it may as well be standing still, but yes, it's single target and has no suppression effects. The Planck Compressor will also be able to target structures. |

PAWI + Plank compressor = "Why is my battle lab randomly building thrice as slow?" On a side note, will the speed compression affect buildings? Edited by: g.a |

Yes. |
