Dogfighting is an aesthetically pleasing part of Paradox, but the system as of now feels incomplete and harmful to the actual game-play and balance testing of the beta.

No doubt these changes can be worked out so that the system improves upon the game, but that kind of balancing may take time to tweak into correctness, so it may be better to just remove the change until the balance behind it is worked out.

Currently, dogfighting takes a fairly ridiculously long time between two air superiority planes, attacking helicopters and ground attack planes seems much less effective, and it elevates anti-aircraft aircraft that fire while stationary: overall making the system feel awkward and severely reducing the effectiveness and reliability of dogfighting air superiority planes.

Of course, if changes to it are planned soon, this request is redundant: but if it is a fairly low priority, the beta may gain a better feel of balance were the change temporarily removed.

I keep asking to have it removed temporarily. The current dogfighting system just made several jet units redundant

I reckon I should re-read before I post :/

and I used the search button and I found that you made 2 other posts regarding dogfighting and Sketch said that it'll be fixed in 0.92

We WILL fix it before we do another release. We even have a plan on how to, with lock-ons and stuch.

In other words, let go and move on with it Galgus, we will uphold fixing dogfighting. It's just there are more important things. Like adding the rest of a faction in. And the Apocalypse Minimod. And several other things that are important, such as MultiCopters.
