I absolutely love this! I did however change strafe back to a+d as I couldn't get used to the mouse thing and turned off the a+d=jump thing.

I am a CS 1.6 surf veteran and flying around in New Okio was so much fun for me :) I am going to have to go back and surf again to satisfy my desire for more!

Please make more maps! I will love you forever and I already do! <3 <3 <3 :)

Also, does anyone know of any similar mods, surfing, strafing or bhopping, or games that have good surf/strafe/bhop scenes like CS 1.6?

Boy, I'm glad I stuck with this mod. While I assumed you weren't meant to play the game backwards, at first I couldn't figure out how to move forward. It was only after I found the tutorial video that I managed to get the hang of it.

Having played for two or so hours I've got two main suggestions. First, I get the impression that it would be much easier to play (although not to model) in third-person. I found it difficult to figure out my boundaries at times. Even more so, the necessity of turning into the stride makes it hard to aim/anticipate what you're turning into.

Second, it would be nice to have some sort of momentum indicator. Maybe something on the center of the screen (like the health/ammo indicator), just to aid getting going after a crash and fine maneuvers.

Also, I can't let you escape without suggestions for maps ;D I'm really looking forward to more maps, especially less technical maps. I'd love to have a curvy racing map, or a simple wide open jumping map. Just a little something to relax to :)

Love the mod; love the idea; I wish I had something more than words of praise to offer in support. Keep up the good work!

I just finished V2 and i must say that the new controls are a lot better. Easy to learn and satisfying to master. Its really nice being able to play the whole game with just the mouse. Cant wait to see more from this.

Oh my god... PERFECT STRIDE 2 JUST SUCKS. The first was fun! It was awesome! But number two has terrible controls, and the map is too confusing. YOU MUST REDO THE OLDER CONTROLS AND MAKE BETTER MAPS! >__<

I haven't played the old version, however I loaded a map which I believe is from the older version, and I have to say that you couldn't be more wrong. Once you master the controls of PSCv2 it's effortless and exciting to skate around the masterfully designed New Okio.

Give it a chance!

I think that doing the Perfect Strides should be a little more lenient. I've done the second New Okio stride about a dozen times, and it still won't say "Stride Mastered". Unless there's something I'm missing here, in which case the game could stand to be a little more well documented anyways. Like, having a narrated training level that explains how to play and what Perfect Strides are and stuff.

Nevertheless, this game is an excellent mod, and I really enjoy the unique play style. Keep up the good work!

Just after I posted that comment I went back and beat the second stride. Now I'm stuck on the third. :P They're hard, but definitely doable.

There is a little leeway, you have to be quite quick for a few of them.

Okay, the fifth stride appeared, and I saved my game. Then later when I reloaded the save, the stride has vanished, but it acts like the game's still in stride mode (all the blue blocks are gone). What do I do?

Ya,same problem for one of my perfect strides as well. The stride that vanished was the one on the thin platforms on high. Can anyone help resolve?

Great game btw. Just got the hang of it and I'm zooming around like the roadrunner
