This is not an update, this is just the full version of the mod in one package and a new crash fix as requested by Arceseus... ...
Objective of this mod - Add more strategic depth into the game
Modifications so far....
The N-lips was eradicated from the ships in this mod
Fighters cheaper and faster to build
Attack bombers much Stronger so a fleet with no anti fighter ships will be raped...
Fighters are 400m/s faster
Ioncannonfrigates are now very good anti-capitalships but are very easily destroyed by fighters.
Kushan's Heavy cruisers are now equipped with very good anti-fighter guns, the bullets are faster so
they have more hit rate.
Kushan's Assault frigates remain almost unchanged...only the power of the plasma bombs was increased.
Carriers have much more anti fighter fire power so a "only fighter" player will have much more trouble to destroy isolated carriers without the help of capital ships, the same goes to the motherships. Of course that a 30 bombers squad will have no trouble at all destroying them.
Taidan's heavycruiser is now a very good at destroying capital ships and corvettes, much better than kushan's heavycruiser, but it has a very annoying weakness, since all its energy cannons were converted to plasma cannons it has a very little anti-fighter efficiency.
Taidan's assault frigates have now decreased fire power but have more speed (+100m/s) and much more antifighter efficiency (Fighterguns instead of medium energy cannons).
The destroyers energy cannons were replaced by plasma bombs increasing their anti-capital but decreasing their anti-fighter/corvette capabilities
Field frigates have a bigger field radius.
Only the ioncannons and plasma bombs get past the shields so they're obviously stronger but they have low efficiency
against fighters (they're slower).
Plasma Bombs have now a 2000 bullet speed making them harder to make a hit on moving targets, almost impossible in evasive fighters...
Remember that any change must be evaluated before becoming a final decision it must not interfere with the power balance between the two races changing the speeds alone is not good, i must see if the accelerations are keeping up with the changes so there may be a calculated mobility gain/decrease on the ship/ships.
Considering this i will continue working in this little mod, and will consider the ideas that you propose to the development of this mod.
It would be nice if someone could give me a better graphics to weapons effect pack...
for example: nicer looking plasma bombs
green lasers for energy cannons
But I remind you that the objective of this mod is not graphical but to add strategical depth to the game.

Oh by the way there have been people asking me where did I get the preview images on the download section... Ididn't get them anywhere those where made by me from scratch using PS CS5
The next mod will probably have a mix of ships, but i think I will base one of the races on the one of the Nebula Levels... can't remember their name...
It will be a great modification compared to this mod...But, it will take some time as I have to study a lot. University is not hard for the ones who study and I want it to be easy and fast so I can become a licensed programmer.
With the next mod i want to create amazing space battle scenes because I see the lack of replay value on the modern space games. Why I won't mod a more recent game? Well HW1 is the only game I know how to mod properly and... HW1 is better than any other game, because it is simple tons of fun and there is no way a mass (one type of ship only) tactics can beat a well balanced one, which is quite lame and obviously easy in most recent games.
