I cannot really accurately tell you how many times I have played
Lemmings PSP, and yearned to hear the old Amiga soundtrack from the 90's
playing in it. I'm not saying that the music in the game by default is
bad, but at the same time it's just a little too modern for me. It
doesn't have quite the same soul and depth the original Amiga Lemmings
soundtrack had. I mean seriously. When I hear Lemming Amiga Tim 2 my
spirits soar. So, I began to find a way to get that awesome soundtrack
into my own copy of this amazing game. At first I just turned the
default music sound down via in-game menu options and used a music
plug-in to play my favorite tracks, but that wasn't really as satisfying
as having the music load as actual game content. I experimented with
various methods but....to make a long story short....

I HAVE RELEASED A PATCH TO PUT ALL THAT AWESOME MUSIC IN YOUR OWN, THAT'S RIGHT, YOUR OWN COPY OF LEMMINGS PSP!

This patch will import all those old classic Amiga Lemmings tunes (and
some bonus stuff) into a retail Lemmings PSP ISO dumped from a Lemmings
UMD disc! You may wonder why this is so stud. Well, this patch allows
you to feast your ears on one of the most wonderful game soundtracks
ever, and, at the same time, enjoy the beautiful modern 21st-century
graphics of Lemmings PSP! Is that not enough to make you want to
download? Hey, I'm not responsible for the hours you will spend playing
this game on account of the wonderful music. With the exception of the
in-game title screen main menu music, all tracks were composed by Tim
Wright, and Brian Johnston. If you like the music, hit Tim up with an
email at Coldstorage.org.uk
! I haven't been able to find much about Brian, but you should pay him a
visit too. Now. Let's move on to applying the patch shall we?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Random-PSP-User-I-Do-Not-Know-By-Name,
Welcome to Lemmings PSP - Amiga Classic Edition. This patch features 19
music tracks from the original Amiga version of Lemmings from
yesteryear! Tim Wright and Brian Johnston are the outstanding composers
responsible for most of the music you hear in my patch, all except that
of the catchy main menu title screen you get on first load, which is
credit to Sony. Also, the program you will be using in this tutorial was
developed by Dodswm at www.PSPripkits.com:
Pspripkits.com. It's a wonderful bit of free software. Now. On to the stuff you downloaded this for!
You will be patching a Lemmings ISO dump sourced from a retail Lemmings
PSP UMD. You will need custom firmware in order to do this. I use 5.00
M33 - 6, and have included the MD5 check-sum for the American version
(NTSC) of Lemmings PSP, which is what I have. If your region is
different, please let me know and I'll be sure to get the right
check-sum for ya to use. Otherwise, the MD5 check-sum verification will
fail, and you will not be able to enjoy Lemmings PSP - Amiga Classic
Edition. I will now break down the patching procedure into 10 easy
steps.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. Download my Lemmings ACE v1.4 Patch + Tools.zip file. Unzip it to wherever you desire.

Mediafire.com

2. Run Apply Patch.exe

3. Click "1) CheckMD5"

4. Select your Lemmings PSP ISO file

5. Wait for the check to complete. Program will turn white. This is not a freeze. Wait.

4. Click "2) Apply Ripkit"

5. Define your file-name

6. Hit save.

7. Wait for it to finish.

8. (Optional) Hit "3) Compress" to compress your ISO to CSO {Though it's
kind of pointless. You'll likely just get a laggy game because of the
compression.}

9. Copy your new ISO to your PSP.

10. ROCK OUT ON LEMMINGS PSP - AMIGA CLASSIC EDITION!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And you're done! You're now ready to enjoy Tim Wright's and Brian
Johnston's awesome Amiga soundtrack, real-time, with modern 21st-century
Lemmings graphics by the lovely Sony Computer Entertainment. Check out
"Credits" under the in-game "Options" menu to see an introductory video!
There are many known issues with this patch, but if you find something
terribly wrong or have a question, comment, suggestion, or anything
else, feel free to hit me up at n64.bowser@gmail.com, or Labatryth.deviantart.com
! Thanks go out to Sony, Tim Wright, Brian Johnston, the developers of
the patching software at PSPripkits.com, GOD, and finally all my YouTube
video watchers! As I said before, God bless ye all! Enjoy the game, and
have a great day! Thanks for downloading!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Known Issues:

Most music tracks do not loop perfectly. Will fix this in future when I find out how.

Coming Soon:

Hey guys, Labatryth here, creator of Lemmings PSP ACE(Amiga Classic Edition). Though this news is not really related to Lemmings ACE, I am writing this here because I believe it is the best place to post this. I hope I am not defying any rules. Mod DB is quite new to me.

Just recently I purchased the PSP game Hoard. It's a great game that I am sure many of you already know. But it's only available through the Sony PSN. To make a long story short, once I got my hands on the game and played a bit of it the music started to annoy me. It just didn't make sense. I mean, here I was, a Dragon, destroying castles and burning down villages and stuff to increase the overall net worth of my hoard, yet I had this techno music to play with. I was like, "Waaaaaa?". Needless to say I just thought that to be completely unacceptable, so I began to find a way to get my own music into the game.

Again to make a long rant short, after about two hours of examining the game structure and renaming, deleting, renaming again and compiling, I DID IT! I found a way to put in custom music! Presenting Hoard - Olde Irish Edition! This edition of PSP Hoard, which is the only PSP Hoard mod on the internet as far as I can tell, replaces all music in the modern version of Hoard with public domain Irish folk tunes. Now surely this doesn't sound all that exciting to you, but it is, and let me tell you why. I've found that when comparing Hoard's default music to its graphical setting, i.e. game-play and aesthetics, the chinky techno/new age tunes that came with it do not really mesh correctly with the game-play. For me a game is only good when the music matches the game-play content. Thus I found that old Renaissance and Irish folk tunes fit this game much better, and changed the game to my liking after only two hours of time.

I plan to release in the next week or so, so keep on the lookout for it! As usual, I will only be providing a patch. You will have the responsibility to patch your own copy of PSP Hoard, just like you did with Lemming PSP ACE. I will write up a similar how-to of how to apply the patch when I can.

Here are some screenshots of Hoard in action:

I didn't change anything graphically in this game. I left everything pretty much the same, and only tinkered with the music. Anyway, there's a little teaser for ya lad, and I hope you look forward to my next mod: Hoard - Olde Irish Edition. I should release it sometime this week. AYE DRAGON OUT!

Hey there, I know it has been a few years, but that is because my PSP broke. I haven't gotten a new one. When I do, I will continue work on this. Just wanted to let you know!

OK FINALLY after like....forever :P i have finally gotten the game and done the patch. overall it worked great.... Again :D. it was pretty much just as easy as the hoard patch and in the end it took about the same amount of time and launched almost perfectally from my 6.35 PRO B-8 beta build(something about switching the music files disabled my plugin, which allows you to turn off a games music and play your own, but that wasn't a problem cause well it didn't matter cause that is the music i would have been playing :D sooo overall nice job on this mod. i definitly am a fan of how u are replaceing the parts of an Actual game that isn't meant to be modded.... its cool. keep up the good work bro :D

Glad to hear it man. :) At times on my 5.00 M33 - 6 and 6.39 ME - 5 firmware, battery.prx and FuSascr.prx will prevent Lemmings from loading. I find myself disabling these in the Recovery Menu quite often. All bootable games seem to have a similar problem though in some way or another. I'm really glad the patch is working for you. And thanks for the comment about modding games! It's fun to see all my work pay off. I have many more projects in the making, so this I ain't gonna stop with Hoard and Lemmings! Thanks again! Feel free to keep in touch and give updates on how your game is playing. By the way, how is the audio looping for you?

hmmm audio looping seems to work ok... most times it will loop correctly while in game but i find that if i pause(or go into sleep mode) and then start going again the music most times stops and doesn't loop correctly all of the time. Also the same thing doesn't happened though if i use a savestate.

The PSP has a way of killing the audio track in all games after you power back on from sleep mode. This is normal. I am also aware that my tracks do not loop flawlessly, and I am still addressing this particular issue and improving it. Sleep mode doesn't de-sync the music for me. I just made the tracks with imperfect loops. And how are you using a savestate? It works with that too? Also the game seems to occasionally burp on startup of unofficial tracks.

Yeah the game works with the savestate plugin which you can find here
Pspslimhacks.com
its a cool plugin that saves the ram at any point in the game and then allows you to re-load that ram again when you start the game, bringing you to the same point you were previously.

hmmmm time to bring up a dead topic :P

Anyways yeah the plugin compatibility with both this and hoard is everything i have tried aside from the MP3 player plugin. ummmmm i have tried all of the following
Custom Home
CFWextender
Save States
Andromidia(or sumthing like that)
batt info
the hold/pause plugin
and last but not least PEAGASUS.PRX which does practically nothing:P
