God rays, volumetric light, visor reflections / water drops, lens flares, depth of field, night & thermal vision scopes, dynamic wet surfaces with reflections, rainbows and many other effects.
The effect is nice, but it looks strange that only the asphalt texture gets the effect. I'd also consider toning the reflectivity of the effect down a notch or two as well so the player doesn't feel like they are walking on a mirror :p
