10 Years ago, Deus Ex was released. Its unique First-Person/RPG elements and amazing story makes it one of the most amazing Single-Player games ever. Shortly after the release of the Multiplayer Patch, an SDK was released allowing Fans and Modders alike, to tell their own 'Deus Ex Story'. Here on Moddb, there are many Big Single Player mods featured; The Nameless Mod, ZODIAC, Redsun 2020, but lost in the depths of the Internet are many other little Fan Missions that should be recongnised. The Purpose of this Moddb page is so I can upload some of these Missions, Most of Which feature in the Mod List hosted by Off Topic Productions, and allow easier access to downloading and playablity. I have optimised many of these Fan Missions to work with the UCModLoader if they didn't already. I am not credit for any of the mods uploaded here. All Credit will be given in Readme Files.

Hi Guys,
I've just uploaded a little modification I found on the web created by one ArcaneX; Thievery Mutator. I only found this a little while back and thought it was a pretty neat little thing.
"what this does is change your translucency depending on the amount of
light falling on you, allowing you to effectively be invisible in the dark. With
a new AI visibility system in Deus Ex, now you can also effectively hide from
the bot AI. You even get a lightgem to check your visibility, just like the
Thief games. "
I don't think I could have explained it better than the readme. :)
I am also working on getting a really great mod named 'Counterfeit' uploaded. Some of you may know it, some may not. Back in the days when PlanetDeusEx was still active, Counterfeit was being developed by Ghandaiah and his team over there. Man, Some more old Deus Ex Community History for you. I, For One, was very impressed with this one and felt the need to share. I have it working but the mod loader refuses to use the new Player Class. So at the moment, everyone calls you by the protagonist's name, Dom Bishop, but you look like JC. I'm still looking into that.
In other news, a new Deus Ex Forum as erupted in the mists of the internet and needs more support. I hear they even caught the attention of Eidos for a little DX3 Side Project. It is mainly a DXMP forum but they have a Single Player Sub-Forum that I should be hanging around abit.
Multiplayer is strong there and they are attempting to build the MP Community back up and need your support.
I suggest any Deus Ex fan check it out and become part of the discussions about Deus Ex, get some help with your own maps and soon hopefully join servers bussling with players. Like I said, Check this forum for all the information you will need. Deusexmultiplayer.freeforums.org
Which reminds me, If anyone has any suggestions for maps that should be on Moddb (Or have a map you have created and what to get it noticed), Drop me and PM and I'll take alook and upload it with all credit given! :D
You play as an agent (Charles/JCDenton) who works for a newly established agency called "Tech Force," which is also a branch organization for the F.B.I...
Three-part story. Translated from French, so be prepared for some slightly odd phraseology. By Gillard Robert (BOB)
The player is JC Denton, but in this scenario JC is an agent for the Secret Service. The game starts in the Secret Service HQ. Some of the characters...
A full single player mission with conversations and goals and everything. It's based on a different Air field players may remember. Authored by Krypt.
Oh it's quite weird I haven't played these missions of yours before! I'll try them as soon as I can :D
There isn't voice acting in these missions right?
Not that it matters!
Sorry, a little late.
ANT Agenda does have voice acting which isn't too bad but the others do not.
Man, I've not updated my little archive in ages...
Umm that is odd.
Are you sure you put all the files into the System Folder?
Yes, they are all there. Am I supposed to be doing anything with the dexsmlutility EXEs?
No I kinda accidently left those in. They don't do anything important or dangerous.
Anyway, I'm not sure what the issue is, and I can't replicate it. Extracted; (1) UC_Modloader.zip to *Example* C:\DeusEx.
(2) Alter .ini to DefaultGame=DeusExML.MLGameInfo.
(3) Play Deus Ex and Mod Loader should have replaced 'Play Intro' or whatever it said.
I'm using the Kentie launcher, might that upset things? Kentie.net
Ahh now I know what the problem is. :P
Go into your 'My Documents' Or Just Documents for Vista/7.
There should be a folder called Deus Ex. Go in there and edit the same .ini file in there changing the DefaultGame=ect.
That was it, thanks! The folder was hidden so I'd not noticed it. There is still one minor problem though: everything is listed twice in the new menu.
Yeah I had a similar problem at one point. I've been experimenting with Deus Ex on different settings, using different tools and renderers ect.
I had this problem using the alternate .exe that you are using. I think it is because of DX'x core .ini files being copied in two place. I'll have a look into it anyway.
