Combine Destiny 2 is the much awaited sequel to the zombie blasting Half-Life 2 mod; Combine Destiny. Leaving off from where the original ended, Combine Destiny 2 will bring the fight against the rebels to the next level, and the story to a new height!

The prior assault on Installation 34 failed.
You find yourself in retreat, escaping in a dropship with the remaining members of the assault force. Behind you echoed the muffled, screaming voices of the parasitics, howling in victory.

You braved through hell for the Combine cause and survived, yet the system requires you to fight again.

Your next mission is to regroup, rearm and assault the rebels' defenses. You are sent with an assault team to re-establish control over Installation 34 and destroy the rebel threat.

Combine Destiny 2 will introduce brand new weaponry, including useable Manhacks and Combine ranged weapons. In addition, new vehicles and utilities such as a driveable APC and night vision will also make an appearance.

No media updates since 2011, and no twitter feeds since 2012. Oh well, I guess it is dead... damn.

Yeah... mod really looked like it had some potential. Looks like they've been working on nightvision, a new HUD... perhaps stealth? Would make my day to hear "hey guys, it's released!"

It may be released one day, according to a post made by Bladesinger on the previous pages, he said that the mod is on hiatus, not that it's necessarily ,,dead,,. However that was quite some time ago, and therefore, it may be actually dead, since the last message about any significant progress of the mod dates since back in 2011 : ,,Act 1 is finally playable from start to finish!,, (Check the Twitter feeds on the right). If they didn't make any significant progress since then, there are no actual chances to see the mod released, at least not in the near future anyway.

Also, since the SDK Base 2007 is no longer being updated by Valve, they'll need to move on the 2013 one, fix tons of glitches created by the port, and much more, so with all this, CD2 it's unlikely to be released at all, but who knows. Maybe one day we'll see the mod released and will shock everyone with it's excellent gameplay and features.

Also, Human Error was released in 2010 and it was built by a small team (just like the CD2 dev team), and the content included inside is much better and more impressive than the one in CD2.

Just to assure everyone, we're not dead and progress is still being made. We just don't have that much time to put on the project atm.
