1. Download the zip file.
2. Extract the contents to your Quake directory.
3. Download a source port for Quake (Darkplaces or Mark V recommended)
4. Install the source port into your Quake directory.
5. Create a shortcut of the source port's executable.
6. Add "-game -iq" to the end of the target text in the shortcut.
7. Run the game from the new shortcut!
why's this listed under single/multiplayer? there's no multiplayer in this... not even any viable mods for multiplayer
...my thoughts exactly
I'd known about this for a while but never got around to trying it, so when I heard that they were doing a legit remake I bought it as soon as it came out and it was really good. Short, confusing, but good.

Use Windows (let the comment burying begin).
Looking good! Can't wait to see more :)
Yeah, the lighting looks great. I think it's very atmospheric. Maybe you could post tips on mapping for hammer-editor neophytes.
amazing work even by today's standards. makes the gldsrc engine look so nice
Nice model, zipties are an awesome touch haha
no offence, but the concept art is a little unconvincing.
meh, source engine was built for scalability. ep 2 engine looks nice enough and imo graphics take a backseat to gameplay. this comes from someone who just recently (yet again) finished the original (shifter modded) deus ex last week.
atmosphere and visual fidelity aren't mutually exclusive.
looks awesome. one gripe ive always had with half life is the ladder climbing... it's so weird.
anyway, nice work
no way the orange light looks great. they add another element to the palette and help dirty up the ships appearance.
nice mapping :D
the blooms on a bit heavy. looks like the player has chlorine in the eyes.
trolls dont deserve hands, because they typically need brains to be used correctly.
this has probably already been said, but can you release a zipped or rar'd version aswell? I'm running MP2 on an intel mac through an emu of sorts, and it cant detect the install of MP2, let alone run the mod installer itself.
which as you can understand is pretty sucky, cause this mod looks pretty sweet.
well, in the meantime i'll just boot up dosbox and play the original, i guess.
no, they are actually gone. they went under a while ago, now.
they should sell what they have to a developer dedicated to finishing it. i mean, the amount of hype alone would be enough to sell it, plus the latest gameplay footage they released after 3dr tanked looked really promising.
I just want to say that your 'SHIFT' type solution is really well designed. I really like the whole 'shift' thing appearing in the dot of the lower case I aswell.
Everything's looking really polished and slick. I love it all. Kudos.
looks really well done. love the music, very emotive.
i'd contemplated starting up something like this. it may be a bit too ambitious, but good luck anyway. id really like to see this happen.
They're not dead. I assume the dev team are just busy with work and that. Plus DX3 doesn't just discount and override the previous two games, it adds to them. Stuff like this isn't intended as a surrogate sequel, it's just to breathe new life into something we all love :D
I know it's probably a dead issue, but I just found out about this mod and was just wondering what the developers' thoughts are on geomod? I know it's probably impractical or impossible to implement it or a similar system, but yeah, i was just viewing the gameplay footage and it doesn't show anything like that.
not that it needs it, this mod looks awesome anyway - i was just curious thats all.
