CNC Fallout

Mod review

Very well put together, roughly on the level of MidEast Crisis and its sequel. The small differences in the factions, such as the Soviets having a battle MCV, are one of the best parts, though the giant super-units such as the Liberty Walker and Soviet Airship are another plus. All in all, the mod is worth a download even if you don't usually like mods.

MidEast Crisis 2

Mod review

Seems like a whole game instead of a mod. Positively ingenius, this is the ideal mod. It changes gameplay, resource collecting, and has some of the funnest maps I have played. Overall, on par with studio-made games.

Tiberian Apocalypse

Mod review

Just checked out GDI. The Wolverines are very well done, the Titans are fun to use and the Scrin are running like babies from them.

TALON Mod

Mod review may contain spoilers

While this mod tries to balance the game, by increasing late game prices and making superweapons cost and take too much time to be useful, it makes cheap unit spam, the very strategy it wanted to destroy, its most effective strategy. Note, this only applies to GDI. I did not try out Scrin and got bored after 10 minutes of Nod.

Heroic

Mod review

As the new images have shown, this game appears to be highly similar to Supreme Commander, but in a good way. I would recommend making build times universally smaller if you are going for the Supreme Commander feel.

C&C 3: The Forgotten

Mod review

While The Forgotten is a wonderful mod, the Forgotten faction themselves seems to have a lot of extra units. For example, the Fissure Tank. It has no usage beyond killing Infantry that the Slicer and Mortar Teams cannot fill more successfully. Though, the person who voiced it is wonderful, and is in fact the reason I build them.

When it comes to infantry, the Forgotten have amazing infantry that are powerful but not overpowering. Their vehicles meanwhile are weaker than the opposing versions, but not to the point of being useless. Their air power seems roughly on par with GDI's, with a bit more versatility. Their support powers are very odd, and some could be seen as very niche powers. This is both a blessing and a curse, as the powers are not as useful all around as the other factions but can be a life saver in some situations, like evacuating a captured enemy MCV by using the Arteries of Assault power.

Overall, the mod is a wonderful experience that has just a few things that cause confusion.

Tiberium Essence

Mod review

Restores original C&C2 gameplay. Has most of the units you remember, though a few are lacking such as the Hunter-Seeker. No huge issues, but the Scrin seem like an afterthought.
