Jedi Outcast is still one of my all time favourite games.It will be the truly amazing if you manage to update the graphics with hd textures and models.

That's a great mod ! I hope now that the source code has been released you can try making a better version that runs better on newer pc's.(And do some gfx updates too)

One question! Can i play this with dx10 render and the hdr enb series pluggin ?
After playing the game for at least 3 times i never though i would be playing it again....
But with this mod making it look soo nice(and the hdr addon from the russian genious that made enb series hdr addons) i would be playing it another time!!! :)
Actually through the original game was a huge mess ,the promise was incredible and at least in the ancient greece and medieval north episodes the game was actually quite interesting.The problem besides the infinite bugs were that the first episode was design with the quake 1 engine so it looked hideous and the last episode was again horrible...
A remake on unreal 3 engine as the game was initially supposed to be is a great idea and i hope the dev(s) manage to finish it...

Really i hope you manage to make it a reality.I checked in your homepage a lot of screens and i wanted to suggest ADD MORE DETAIL on the world.I mean geometrically everything is very nice but Hexen is supposed to be a once living world that got invaded and turned to hell.So were are all the debris,carts,carpets,broken pottery,glasses,plants,bushes,vines all over the walls,corpses,dead animals,flags,rags,signs and inside building furniture like tables,chairs,kitchen stoves,bookselfs,beds,carpets,rags etc....
The premice of this mod IS ASTONISHING.I remember the original herretic back in 1993 when i was a teenager and i still remember how amazed i was playing it during night.Then when hexen came in 1995 through not as amazing as herretic was in 1993 it still was an incredible game.And i still remember hexen 2 in 1997 as i builded a new pc for that game only....(With 2 3dfx voodoos 2 heheh).
Please....I know its difficult to make a mod but...Please try at least making a short episode.The id tech 4 (doom3) engine can do miracles if used at its maximum potencial and there are many mods out there that update the renders and add new effects like parallax mapping,normal mapping ,soft shadows and hdr effects...
Almost like watching a scene from blade runner.Add some steam coming out of the ducts and have some of those screens animated or playing video ads and you have something even more amazing.
This mod looks bloody amazing!! It reminds me blade runner a little bit!
Is it possible to have steam coming out of ducts and air cooling units in the city streets as well as video screens playing ads on buildings ?
Add some better animations and this simply goes to another level

Well this is simply one of the most awaited and talked mods ever made...I only hope somehow it becomes a reality and does not follow the path of most mods.A lot of people worked on this mod and what they made is nothing sort of incredible.
I only wish i was talented with modeling/texturing to help them out...
Your progress is simply amazing!!! I thought in the begining that black mesa was one mod but later realized you work together to bring us both half life and opposing force to the new generation.Really so far what i have seen is astonishing i just wish i had some modeling/texturing skills to help you out.
In any case take your time -projects like this deserve to be done when they are done..(just before the end of 2012 to be on the safe side... :) )
Well for what is worth the screenshots you posted are bloody incredible!!
Orion on its own right is a fastastic mod but with dinosaurs and huge open jungle areas it takes another level.If you manage actually to make it happen it would be astonishing!
-for non believers i would remind people the Gunman Chronicles mod for halflife 1 (ok it wasn't the best of mods but it did feature some nice dinosaurs so i think the latest source version can easily handle this mod)
In any case you would need some large and beautifull open vistas for levels with dinosaurs !!

Great and very needed addition! Hope some more work is done to the movement animations fluidity and expressions on characters along a few neat effects like heat distortion on the distance and dust kicked up while walking /running.I also hope Cryengine 3 is easy to develop and not a learn everything from the begining procedure but an improved cryengine 2 leap.

The game looks more and more fantastic every time i check back for any news! The move to Cryengine 3 is great as this means a hell of a lot more people will try and play open outcast.Really the job the devs did so far is nothing short of amazing.
Also i hope the new demo has improved movement/expression animations along some new visual tricks like heat distortion and dust being kicked up during running or walking...( i know i have mentioned them many times but i believe they are not so difficult to implement but will add a lot of immersion to a dessert environment!
Every time i check back i see more and more upcoming improvements!!! I can't wait for the next version and i do hope more talented people help the team to make this a hell of a mod!
Really the mw4 community should be made aware of mechwarrior living legends.
To keep on the matter why the mw4 community does not try to help the developers of this mod ? Combined programming/modeling forces would make the impossible been possible,from even better looking graphics and worlds to maybe even a single story epic campaing..
And is the mw4 commmunity aware of mechwarrior living legends ?
Great to know open Outcast continues to improve! It's great also to hear that the snowy beginning village of raanzar will be made.
It will be a great way to start the game ,provided some heavy scripting is added similar to the original game.
I also hope open outcast improves and adds features like better and more fluid movement animations,expressions ,breackable and movable objects and more special effects.Fore example distortion effects on desserts and dust get kicked up while walking.
Oh my god this mod is getting better and better with time.I just wish there were thoughts of some short epic opera style storied single player missions!!!(after the online game is polished ofcourse! ) :)

Incredible mod people.Mechwarrior was among my favourite games of all time...(And yes i was among those people that used 2 flight sticks to play the original mechwarior 2 and than mercenaries...:) )
In any case the mod gets better with each release.Are there plans to move the mod to the crysis wars engine ? Also any hope to except some ai and some story sp missions ?

a few notes for improvements through ! :
1-Animations for cutter and npc's need improving(especially while standing still,stopping from running/turning etc..,need to become more flued and complex)
2-Facial expressions on characters
3-I LOVED the rear over the shoulder cam while npc's speak ! -But i HATED the generic camera circling around you and the npc....(Maybe show an over the shoulder side view of cutter when he is talking or something similar...)
4-Some volumetric sand dust while on the sanddunes and a more pronounced kicked up sand while running over them.(Also is it possible to have some distortion while on sanddunes over the sand that is far away ? For example like the heat distortion in crysis while an explotion takes place-it would be amazing coupled with the fantastic music ! )
5-More random stuff in villages are needed to bring life to the game (from generic things like ceramics,carpets,foods,stools etc..)
6-I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE starting from the snowy village Outcast started !!!
7-AND I HOPE i don't offend the guy that did the cutter voice overs...but he sounds emm...to good...too young....Maybe someone older with a rougher voice ? Cutter is supposed to be the rough,tough no nonsense hero ....:)
