Daikatana Remake is a Remake of the well know First Person Shooter "Daikatana" made by Ion Storm, and John Romeo in 2000. The remake first of all focuses on the first chapter from the original game "Marsh", remade as if the game was made today, with next generation technology. The project is based in Unreal Engine 3.

Actually through the original game was a huge mess ,the promise was incredible and at least in the ancient greece and medieval north episodes the game was actually quite interesting. The problem besides the infinite bugs were that the first episode was design with the quake 1 engine so it looked hideous and the last episode was again horrible...
A remake on unreal 3 engine as the game was initially supposed to be is a great idea and i hope the dev(s) manage to finish it...

...This must be like spraying air freshener on a 10 year-old turd
Just hope John Romero doesn't sue and make you his bitch!
Note: He apologized for that advert!
John RomeRo, right? (John Romeo...?)
Anyway, I am still in possession of a copy of that game on N64. It would be nice to play it again with next gen tech behind it. I know everyone says it was crap back in the day, but I still enjoyed it.
Why these peoples shining?
As long as you don't wanna recreate that feeling of frustration and despair of the original, the best of luck to you :D
agreed
There had better be robot-frogs and robot-flies in the first level. :p
I am really interested in the project and am willing to help if I can. Recently I started modelling but have not tried using models in UDK yet. But I can try.
