Does Dnamro have an estimate on when the launcher/installer will be released? Thank you.

Is there an estimated release date on the launcher for installing to a custom location? I'd love to play this mod, but there's not nearly enough space on my C Drive. :p
Anyone know if it's possible to add the lighting effects from Jorak's ENDAR SPIRE Complete Overhaul [1], with the textures from this mod? Would that screw up the ReShade? Thanks.

Is it possible to add custom music to this mod? I never modded music before, but I'm thinking of adding tracks from other Howard Shore OST's such as "A History of Violence". The entire soundtrack (or most of it) sounds just like LOTR.
Blizzard just recently banned a Hearthstone Pro player for speaking out in support for the people of Hong Kong. As much as I love Warcraft 3, this company does not deserve our support.
Looks great. I'm not sure if this has been asked already, but does this mod contain the original unit voices from Medieval II (now that the music pack is out), and are the locations/maps exactly the same as Attila or are they modded to look more "medieval"? (medieval villages, castles and so forth)
Thanks!
Good stuff. Just discovered this mod now, and I really love the idea of linear story driven missions. Especially for the world of LOTR. I find "making your own story" (which seems to be an excuse for many giant Triple-A Devs these days to do as little as possible, IMHO) is fun until it isn't... If one is serious about playing through an actual story (like myself), trying to come up with ideas for a decent plot, characters, objectives, etc 24/7 that actually works, just burns you out. Sometimes I prefer to kick back and experience a well developed story others made that gives the gameplay meaning.

That was an April Fools! Though I'm not sure why he didn't say so on indiedb. See here -

You scared the f**k outta me dude. xD
You should probably mention this was a joke on the front page though, before folks get the wrong impression.
Hello, I encountered the "Game is not being run as known Company of Heroes product" error recently on Steam after installing the Great War: 1918 mod. I managed to get all CoH mods I downloaded working again using steps in the below links (making Steam shortcuts per mod, setting custom Target parameters on both the shortcut and in the Steam Library when it's added as a non-Steam game). When I re-installed them however they were all moddb versions (Europe at War and Great War: 1918 included). If I wanted to uninstall this mod and get the latest updates through the Steam version instead, would it still produce the same error, even with the custom parameters and everything set up? Would only Steam-based mods work together?
The Eastern Front devs plan on coming to Steam as well, so it'd be awesome to install all these kickass mods without error.
Thanks in advance.

Also are you working with other devs (Europe at War, Eastern Front, Blitzkrieg, etc) on these issues? Just curious, I asked this same question to the Europe at War and Eastern Front devs as they too have Steam versions. It'd be great to install of of these kickass mods without error.
Thanks in advance.
Hi again, I actually have a quick concern/question for your upcoming Steam version. Installing this mod through Steam may produce the following error; "Game is not being run as known Company of Heroes product. Try again by launching game from Steam". (see below links)
Apparently when any CoH mod is installed through Steam it messes up the registry, and then it + most or all other mods installed on CoH New Steam Version - whether the mods be from Steam or from moddb - get the same error. I got it out of the blue recently and had to re-install everything from scratch, then go through the process of creating Steam shortcuts per mod and set custom Target parameters/Launch options (just uninstalling the problem mod(s) on Steam won't work). I got the mods working again but only using moddb versions. So will installing a Steam version again, like the one you'll be releasing, mess it up even with all the custom parameters and everything? Will only mods downloaded through Steam work together?
Also, do all you different devs (Great War, Blizkrieg, Europe at War, etc) get together on these issues? Just curious, I asked this same question to the Europe at War and Great War: 1918 devs as they too have a Steam version. It'd be great to install all these kickass mods without error.
Thanks in advance.
Awesome mod, but WAY too challenging on easiest difficulty. Is it possible to manually adjust AI difficulty via an .ini file or something, making it similar to a standard "easy" mode?
Please don't let this mod die Lord Wiffleby, looks great!
A shame this is no longer being worked on, so far it looks amazing.
Cool mod! But is it possible to add it's own launcher so it doesn't interfere with the vanilla game or other mods? This mod works, but the vanilla games/other mods do not when I install this...

I have the same problem as Renaissance69. Smooth start, lag after about 20 minutes, but mostly on winter-based maps (especially Kiev). For me it seems to be caused by in-game effects (i.e fire from exploded vehicles, grenades, etc) which also causes a black screen everywhere around the effected area...Oddly enough, the triggers (fire/explosion/etc) remains visible in a small square on the screen but everything around it goes black. My PC is more that capable enough and all drivers are up to date.
Otherwise, solid mod! Look forward to Steam release.
Can you play against AI, or set up a custom game where you can?
So many mods to choose! But I had to go with Army Men III for bringing back my childhood, and doing so from the ground-up. =)
lol this looks awesome!
Looks like a great mod, but whenever I download it the file instantly disappears...no notifications or anti-virus warnings or anything. Is anyone else having this problem?
Btw if it is an AV thing on my end, could someone upload this in a ZIP format so I can add the file to exclusions please? Idk if that'll work, but it's worth a shot...
There's a working DL link for this mod here! -
Companyofheroes.gamefront.com
Installation: "Simply move all files into your Company of Heroes directory and copy the shortcut onto your desktop." (source - Forums.relicnews.com )
Though you may have to change the shortcut's Target/Start In location if your CoH installation different than the one in the shortcut. I.e if you downloaded the game through Steam.
This mod looks awesome. PULEEZE don't let it die!!
For those seeking a download link for the mod itself, I found a working one here -
Looks like a great mod btw. Can't wait to play it!
"The new version is delivered as installer version but wont change anything to your original CoH-Files." - So does this mean this mod has a separate launcher, and you can still play both the mod and the vanilla version if you want (like the Blitzkrieg mod for example)?
Looks awesome btw!
Thanks for this, unfortunately though mine still doesnt work.
What I did exactly since the beginning was -
- Installed Battlefront 2 from steam (just the base game, absolutely no mods or anything)
- Downloaded/installed R3 standalone steam version (from the main page)
During installation:
* It was installed to the default location in the installer, which was C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II
* the MS .NET framework 4 did not need to be installed because there was already the same or higher version of it installed on the OS.
* Patch 1.3 was installed (Same with 1.1 if it was included in the steam version by default)
* When the Configuration Utility was launched at end of installation, both the config.xml, and flag directory, and batch file was not found and they all asked for a location for those files (I pressed cancel)
I reinstalled/unistalled the mod multiple times and double-checked/followed all instructions (including the ones in this news update and the other tutorials), and still the vanilla game remains dominant. Unless using the Configuration Utility is required for running the game then I have NO idea what's wrong here....guess I'll just have to wait until R4, but idk if that'll fix it. :/
